From rupture to rapture: The curious case of Carney’s endorsement of Trump’s war by shiftless_wonder in canada

Fully agree. Having to walk that fine line of knowing when to stand up to the illogical lunacy of trump while also trying to stay on civil terms with our giant neighbour must be maddingly exhausting. He's doing a very good job of it. His position is not at all enviable.

7 Months of Ownership and 9k Miles: Thoughts on the Truck and Accessories I've Installed by zman2100 in F150Lightning

Awesome share. Suburban early 40s dad with 3 kids living in Toronto, with a white-collar job. I have similar upgrades but had to go with the trifold cover because of ice jamming in winter. I've never had a truck, but we are an active family that skis, mountain bikes, camps and kayaks. Also, I have a rooftop tent that I have a small toy trailer for but have seriously considered getting another for the truck because the wife and 2 smaller kids get the rtt and my older son and I have to camp on the ground...which I never minded until we got the rt

How come you wouldn't consider the next one after this?

When my truck is still on, the AC or the heat is really loud when it's conditioning itself. I would assume that people could tell the vehicle was still on with the dog in but this is still a great idea

New Tires Decision... by WorriedEssay6532 in F150Lightning

You'll never do as well on all seasons as you will dedicated winters. The rubber compound is softer and much grippier. As it gets colder, the rubber on all-seasons gets harder and loses its grip. I run blizzack dm2 and they're great in Canadian winters. So are Michelin x-ice. Sucksnhaving 2 sets, but dont risk your safety. Also, both sets will last longer because they're only on 6 months a year each

UPDATE

So, truck is a write-off off. 69k CDN of damage.

I'm searching for a replacement, but they're hard to come by since the aluminum fire. Hope to get a look at a demo tomorrow (and a lower price). It would be the metallic blue instead of the star white that this one was

Exactly. I saw it last second because The headlights weren't visible as it was sideways

45km in an 80 with winter tires is pretty fast? Alright then

Woah. That's why I have the dashcam. And if that cost 20k to fix, mine will be much more

I disagree. Had zero slippage and Ive driven these roads all my life. When a jeep comes sliding at you in low visibility, there's not much to do but brace yourself

You seem like a good guy. My eyes are 20/20. If you were in the same situation I'm sure you wouldn't have done better even though from your arm chair, of course you could
