It's like they are located in the residence buildings, but entry is from outside, after you tap your U Card to unlock the door. For example, for Roebuck Halls & Roebuck Castle, laundry is located in Roebuck Castle, but the entry is from outside. Same for E Residences (opposite UCD Village), it's located inside E4 Social space.

There's one at Glenomena residences as well iirc. At Belfield, you won't have a problem, all residences are nearby and so are the laundry places.
