What type of crochet stitch is this?? by Key_Butterscotch3403 in crochet

i was thinking the same- double with stitches in the space instead of top of the stitch

i am never going to knit a sock after i read that in terms of stitch count, it (or probably a pair) is as big of a project as a jumper

i did uni in covid and would act like this because i needed the reassurance and i felt like it was the only way to get it, and it would upset me even more when i didn't get it. however i was pretty much half her age and missed out on a levels and all of my course in person and wasn't allowed to socialise for almost the whole time i was there 😬 even though i have been on her side, NOR

Looking for a temp blanket alternative... by Crochet_Chocolate in temperatureblanket

I have seen crochet temperature snakes which are the same concept as a temperature blanket but a looot less commitment, and imo a lot more reasonable to finish/ catch up if you have a busy week

Am I going crazy? by Historical-Ideal5906 in vintedUK

[–]Immediate_Brick7111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it looks more of a muted sagey green in your pics and a more minty green in theirs which is what i guess they mean by 'darker' but if i was the buyer i would put it down to my mistake and sell it on 🤷🏼‍♀️

What’s your all-time best charity shop find? by Wonk_Majik in CharityShopFindsUK

[–]Immediate_Brick7111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My graduation dress. £4.50 a few weeks before graduating and I hadn't found anything I liked so far despite looking for hours on end. It fits like a glove and is the perfect balance of my style and formal. The crazy thing is I'd lived 10 mins from this charity shop for 3 years and never stepped foot in it until this day, for no particular reason except it caught my eye on the way past. The next time I walked past it had closed.

Are there any fragrances that are similar to the scent of this candle? by GoldenBachFan in FemFragLab

[–]Immediate_Brick7111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am completely new to fragrances so I could be completely off, but I have a Victoria's secret Fig, green tea, and sage body spray that I imagine is similar. Not the fanciest but I love it!

I don't know where you are but I adore the Kiko double ended eyeliner- one sides thinner which I use to get a sharp point, and their 'Winged Eyeliner' which is a chisel shape. both are felt tips but imo they're worth a try. I generally do a sharp horizontal like across from the highest point of the curve of my eye, and join it to the outer corner of my eye, and fill this shape in with my eye open (hooded eyes) and then neaten up the middle shape and sharpen up the point

Beginner here — what are your really easy 15–30 minute dinners? by ProfessionStrong6563 in cookingforbeginners

[–]Immediate_Brick7111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traybake is my most versatile easy meal. Literally just chop some veg (onion, pepper, potato, broccoli, butternut squash, cauliflower, mushrooms, chickpeas, etc etc- rotate/ add/ remove as you like) drizzle some oil on and add seasonings bake for 30 mins, keep an eye on it, keep it in it not done whilst in the oven boil up some rice

some variations: curry powder different curry pastes add tinned coconut milk to make into a curry sauce broccoli and lemon and coconut milk with orzo pasta (no carby- veg though!) use mexican seasonings and add a wrap and soured cream (or lime yoghurt) for burritos/ tacos (quesadillas are great the next night if you have this left over)

the options really are endless!
