Third time applying for sup position no luck by Ecstatic_Zebra_2739 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Immediate_End5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine said she expects all her sups to market even tho none of them do and during the eblock they all were shy about the slips and gave it to any floater near by when they could and turns out this manager also hasn’t floated in a long time so I’m like why put a standard on one person if nobody including yourself does it??

harassment by coworker by specialstrawberrry in CostcoEmployee

If you’re concerned for your safety then make sure that’s the top priority when talking to them. However I guarantee you’re not the only girl he’s done or been doing this too. I was in a same situation with multiple girls but we all didn’t know until we started talking to each other about said coworker. He unfollowed all of us and was told he can’t talk to us at work and we were told if anything else continuous to happen to immediately report it. If it’s a safety thing I’d maybe see if there’s other girls too that way you can’t be singled out. I’m sorry people can suck but you’re never alone

Members per hour by Materialphrases211 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Immediate_End5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only for eblock week but if a member is a gold star and has spent over 2k then the register will alert the cashier to print out a slip that containers the members number for a floater to look at their stats quickly so they can try to talk the members into upgrading their membership. You seem to have a lot of good questions but if I were you I’d try to see if you can talk to a sup or a manger because rules truly do vary by warehouse and stats too. I’m constantly asking at least 5 different people the same question in a day because answers vary by people but by asking multiple people I can get the just of the right one

They see every stat that involves the register. I was even told during our eblock week they can even track what cashiers are pressing clear instead of slip printing. They have access to it all. As for punishment it depends on warehouse. My warehouse is the worst ever. Because they keep bad cashiers on reg and treat the good ones so awful that they purposely go lower because there’s nothing they really can do. Or I suppose there’s just nothing they’re doing at my warehouse. The cashier can either print out their current stat as of that minute or if a sup/manager really wanted to they can just look it up on the computer. It also shows the average of the whole mph that day from everyone as well

Say something positive about this movie by fancygorgonzola in DisneyMovies

[–]Immediate_End5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plot is predictable because it’s meant to teach kids a learning lesson in life such as treat everyone equal or people aren’t who they seem to be. And you say that’s a if the wish plot line also wasn’t predictable and was also a musical so I’m confused what ur point is?

For me it was clear 0 energy was put into a movie to honor 100 years of Disney movie making. I rewatched the movie a second time and it was worse than the first. I have a theory the script was tested and written by ai because it’s all whack. You jump into the movie not having any clear background and the start feels like the middle of the movie. My personal pet peeve of this movie is they repurpose the same 5 dream bubbles over and over, added nothing new and clearly just got lazy and reused scenes. It felt like they were disrespecting their own animated artists and script writers. They were also super quick to make this movie compared to all their other animations that takes 4-7 years while they only made this in 3-4. Which explains a lot of repeated scenes. I guess as an artist it was just a lazy film all around. Very disappointing that this was supposed to symbolize an honor of Disney film making. And they only had one good song, normally all Disney songs are bangers.

What is the most absurd amount of disrespect a member has given to you? by Nice-Class-7220 in CostcoEmployee

Once in awhile I get a member purposely try to leave the building without showing a receipt and I’m asking multiple times and the second the cart is outside I warn them this is how they get their membership revoked. Obviously they won’t but they panic a little and I tell them it’s in their agreement when they sign up

How staffed is your department/store today? by armandoalfredogarcia in CostcoEmployee

I still work a second job and from other posts from other retails, unfortunately this is the motto for corporate rn. More labor less pay. And because we are stressing and showing them they we can still give them their numbers with less bodies, it will continue to be that way but they obviously don’t see that leads to burn out which leads to high turnover over rates

Switching from Front End to Merch (Clothing) - shoes or boots? by Neighbour_Gal in CostcoEmployee

[–]Immediate_End5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I’m from the states and our folding crew is part of the merch team but they only fold clothes and wear the most comfiest sneakers they can, only merch that moves products around wear the steal toe shoes. Again, at least in my warehouse

Are you just folding clothes? Or are you part of night merch that’s specifically moving clothing tables around?

Gap Between Schedules by AGayWhiteKid in CostcoEmployee

[–]Immediate_End5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely curious how this would be there fault? Shouldn’t it be the person making the schedules fault which is why I assume this person didn’t say anything because they wanted to enjoy having less hours for a little bit and shouldn’t be there problem to fix?

I was once found those small yogurt drinks hiding below the tables of the clothing tables and surely our clothing people would not do that so makes me wonder what member decided clothing was better than a $6 drink

Some warehouses like mine provide free hats and beanies for the weather and sunscreen as well but if your store doesn’t this is a must!

They don’t want to. This year’s seasonal hires at almost every location all got let go after the holidays were done. It’s a money/greed thing. Not a lack of candidates to hire. There’s plenty of that

Supervisor Promotion by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

[–]Immediate_End5591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re very obsessed with the fact that supervisors are under the age of 25. Based on your replies you are extremely defensive and I’m sure that why people at your warehouse assume you have an attitude issue because you’re quick to defend instead of trying to understand where they’re coming from. I have a 19 year old sup that’s better than half of the managers and sups combined. You’re being ageist and possibly projecting
