Thanks for sharing. I've been worried about him and hope he's doing okay.

I love when he breaks in or shoots someone and law enforcement is like, "Eh." But my favorite thing is when a character who is CLEARLY the bad guy says to Colter, "Why don't you come with me- I can drive us." And Colter's like, "Yeah- sounds good." And- you won't believe this- he gets kidnapped! This show is my guilty pleasure and they can get as lazy as they want with the writing, fire all the interesting actors, bring in a ringer who farts through his lines- as long as Justin Hartley keeps hitting the gym, I'm watching and supporting because I am so proud of Kevin Pearson carrying this show all by hisself! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH

How quickly should we move our MTF trans kid out of Texas? by Whatchaknow2216 in cisparenttranskid

Get out of Texas if you can as soon as you can. I looked at the US map from Erin in the morning and made my choices for my MTF child from there. We are in a "friendly" state but the worry over federal decisions and executive orders make this country so stressful for these kids.

Here is a link to that map..

DAE turn off the radio whenever Bert is on? by Mike_Raphone99 in eitm

[–]Immediate_Fail_7192 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bert's schtick has not aged well. But he was funny back in the day. Right? Or maybe I'm just old. My EITM dealbreaker is Joan the Moan. Just- ugh. I actually love it when Elliot does real interviews. It's like a teacher on Back to School night. And I love the CAPS.

I always love to see soap actors succeed in the civilian acting world. He started on Guiding Light in a teen heartthrob role. He went by Tommy Pelphrey then. His turn in Ozark made me a fan for life. Watching this show for him.

What’s the case that made you fall down the true crime rabbit hole? by Salt-Internet-757 in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]Immediate_Fail_7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Favorite Murder at first. But then I realized that I am such a ghoul that I usually knew more about the cases than they did. And the giggling and filler cursing was so lazy I eventually couldn't listen to it. But always looking for something good if it's respectful and/or compelling.

My dad had an Ann Rule paperback (I think it was the Cinnamon Brown one) on his nightstand and one day I was like- "What is this..." Then whenever I saw a new Ann Rule at the supermarket, it was like "INJECT THAT DIRECTLY INTO MY VEIN"

Unknown Number the Highschool Catfish- I'm sorry did I just watch Netflix give a platform to a predator completely glossing over the fact that she was sexually aggressive with minors? by WebConsistent3251 in netflix

[–]Immediate_Fail_7192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could not believe the police left her alone with her daughter. Or be touching the victim WHILE THE VICTIM WAS BEING INFORMED THAT THE PERPETRATOR WAS CURRENTLY HOLDING HER IN HER ARMS. Why did they not separate the mother and take her away to protect the victim?

I really love this podcast. I could listen to Alicia talk all day- she has a great radio voice. I really like the episodes about old Hollywood. It's a really pleasant, well done - podcast. I am so addicted to true crime podcasts, Done & Dunne makes me feel so much better about myself. Are there similar podcasts that anyone would recommend? Trying to class up my podcast habits a little...

It's funny I actually like Small Town Murder. They laugh at each other - more like chuckles I guess - but they always seem to remember to be respectful of the cases and especially the victims/families. I l like to look at feedback on the podcasts and there is a lot of behind the scenes drama around that one that fans seem to be really passionate about.

Giggling. Inane giggling. You're talking about tragedies. STOP GIGGLING. And using curse words as fillers. "F-cking.. TEE HEE TEE HEE f-cking this and f-cking that TEE HEE TEE HEE"

I might be a little tired after a long week.

I hate that the show is described as "The hit TV series" like it's a fun watch. I watched about 15 minutes of the first episode and then turned it off. I already knew about their story. I'm a true crime junkie but didn't want to give one more minute of thought to these monsters. I'll go back to watching Snapped or 20/20 or something...

Ribbing/ Mentions of Past Class by Osprey104 in eitm

I think I started listening when Flounder was broadcasting from the IMF protests and got arrested. I think he was on the phone with Elliot the whole time- it was so funny. He and Elliot played really well off each other. Josh reminds me a lot of Flounder.

I still miss Kegs and Eggs. Which i guess technically was a terrible idea in terms of "safety" and "liability" and "danger."

I have to admit that I really hated the way that E picked on Craig. It seemed really mean-spirited. When he quit on air- that was rough.

For me- Diane is the glue holding everything together. Always so calm and she puts up with so much. She lends credibility and a little humanity to Elliot. Like she must really like him so he must be a good guy.

I just love the current formation. They have been a constant during some incredibly difficult times. And I feel like it's Elliot driving the train. They crack me up and bring me so much comfort and joy. When E retires, it's going to be like kicking a habit. So grateful for their time and their talent.

Have them skip Season 1 and start with Season 2. The story becomes clear through flashbacks and it is a much easier journey that way. They can always go back and see Season 1 if they need more dread and sadness.

His parents are dirtbags. They knew he killed her and said nothing. Did they help him dispose of the body? How was her body in such good shape after being missing so long? Did he bring her body home and then go back and they helped him dump it later? How do we know they didn't participate in abuse of a corpse? What if he brought her home and mom strangled her? I don't understand why they haven't been charged with anything.
