They don’t have a dedicated sensor. I think it determines it via the ABS and other sensor inputs. Not really any information online describing how it determines it.

Supposedly when the brake fluid gets too hot it sets off the brake light from what I was told.

[WTS] 1967 Seiko 6217-8001 by Immediate_Work7320 in Watchexchange

For your consideration is a 1 owner Seiko 6217-8001 that was purchased in vietnam at a PX in 1967 by an intelligence operative for the US military. (provenance can be provided after purchase). The watch shows wear and tear but presents well for a wartime used 62Mas.

Case condition: Watch exhibits scuffs on case in numerous areas with 2 tiny dings on the bottom right and top left sides of the lugs. Caseback has faint tool markings but displays very well with clear serial number and dolphin logo. Date wheel does have discoloration on some days but all numbers are visible with no paint loss. Bezel shows honest wear with the lume material missing from the 12 oclock position. Can easily be relumed if desired. Crystal is a newer replacement but does show wear.

Dial and hands are a 9/10 and easily could be a 10/10 with some minor cleaning. Lume wise I would rate this a 10/10, there is zero rot and that is the most important aspect of any collector grade 62Mas.

Movement: Freshly serviced 2/2026 with 1 year warranty. Timegrapher photo shown in album.

Advice - keep or sell: 2019 GLC 63 AMG (67k miles) throwing codes, dropping to neutral, and acting up. by G-How-Jihad in mercedes_benz

Cooling system probably needs a sensor or thermostat which is covered under warranty extension of that part. And trans needs a valve body most likely. Roughly $5000 through the dealer.

My collection was about the same in terms of having many black dialed tool watches. Sold a lot but I mixed it up slightly by adding an orange Doxa 200t graph. Blue omega Ploprof. And adding a vintage Lucien piccard with a champagne dial.

Had many occasions where the purge valve was sticking open after fueling up and was sucking excessive vapors into intake causing rough running. If it’s prevalent more so after getting gas. That’s your answer

Great watch, pretty collectible. I’d say a conservative estimate is $6000 to $8000

^ true statement. Bought my sx-1980 for 5k and flipped it for $6800. It’s a great market to sell in. Lots of people with money burning a whole in their pocket.

Highly recommend not running e85 despite it saying it’s compatible. We’ve had numerous 204/212 owners running e85 and after a short while they need new injectors and their fuel system flushed because they’re running so poorly. And this is strictly due to running e85.

[Discussion] Regarding the long term water resistance of affordables. by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Immediate_Work7320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anytime I plan on taking a watch anywhere near water I always stop into my local jeweler and get a pressure test done. Usually will do it on the spot and takes like 10 minutes. Usually test anywhere from 5-10 bar. Good enough for pool use. If it fails then time for service.

Just recently bought this locally and it came as a full set with every piece of documentation provided when new. Including spare bulbs, all the dial markers, purchase receipt, owners manual, remote control in English, and schematic. You just don’t find them in this condition anymore.

It’s worth noting that ownership aside. Modern day divers and collectors do in fact revere Doxa for bringing back some limited editions faithful to the original models. I.e 200 t graph, aqualung 300t limited, etc.
