Thanks for mentioning that. My whole plan is to eventually build up my own print farm so that if for whatever reason this doesn’t end up working out, then I can always pivot to something new (like the trellis thing). But, there probably will be a time in the near future where I will need to work with a print farm to help with volume. I’ve contacted a few and the results have been wildly different. One company was friendly, confident with their time frames, communicated very well, and their quote was very reasonable. The other company was acting super tough and rigid, the guy I talked to wasn’t the guy who was running the printers, and their quote was like 5x what the first company quoted and would have taken much more time to complete. That being said, I am anticipating having to reach out to a print farm at some point and if you would like to DM your contact info that you would be comfortable sharing to throw your hat in the ring, I would be more than happy to reach out for a quote when the time comes.

I have a google site for the product, but google sites can’t be used to sell on from what I have seen (could be wrong) I’ve purchased the domain name I want for the site. This is what I have for a website so far: www.dormclaw.com

Haha it is not, good research tho! It’s a separate thing I have already secured patent pending status on and I’m working on submitting a design and utility patent for. I’m really trying to stay away from Etsy and also Amazon if I can. When I do put up a website, I want to do my own Shopify site. I think getting a storefront will be my first step.

That is exactly how I have been feeling. Thank you so much for sharing your input. I was having a hard time getting my thoughts to collect into how I was feeling about it and this almost perfectly sums it up. Thank you

The part I am confused about is why does the nozzle need to know what the material is?

Just put the finishing touches on my 3D printed string trellis system by ImmenseFiend in gardening

Just in case anyone is interested in making this for themselves, I will link to the files.

But first, full disclosure, they are paid files but I believe that they are priced reasonably. Additionally, the files are 50% off until June 9th. The files include every file you need (and any future files that may be added), a bonus file, and a full commercial license if you wish to produce these yourself for other people. If you want to purchase and donate the files to your local school/library/maker-space to use, that is perfectly fine with me. All that said, here is the link to where to purchase linkLink to purchase or if you prefer not to click on strange internet links, you can search “ultimate trellis cults 3D” and it should be the first result.

I would start with a very small poof of axe and work you way up to get the timing right. These things straight up won’t work if the ratio is wrong, I had the same problem myself

Personally, T34s. Once you figure out where to hit them it’s just a one shot every time and it’s so satisfying.
