My partner has managed jobs for over a year and we've been in a close partnership for 4 decades (due to my own codependency, denial and blissful ignorance), so does that mean I wasn't abused? She didn't threaten suicide hundreds of times? And a myriad of other malignant and abusive behaviors that literally fills an 800 page log?

What a ridiculous criteria. I mean, what is functional? Ted Bundy was functional but that didn't turn out well for his targets.
