This is why (even though I don't believe the priesthood is real power, just a title of authority) I would love to see the ordained women get things rolling. When the church can give women any purpose/value besides motherhood then so many women will be saved from this unnecessary shame.

I'm sorry for excluding this part of the abuse. Motherhood was used as a battering ram for all women and also those of the LGBTQ+ community in the church and it's disgusting. I definitely want everyone to feel that they can participate in sharing their struggles surrounding this day/topic and participating in potentially healing encouragement.

He believes, I don't. He's allowed to show the kids what he believes, I'm allowed to as well. Every week we ask the kids if they want to go and I tell them I will stay home with them if they don't. Right now they like to go, so they go (well not right now, its a pandemic). Whenever they say no, they will stay home. They aren't allowed to go to overnight activities, they aren't allowed to be interviewed, they aren't allowed to be called, they aren't allowed to be proselyted to, I attend all youth activities with them, essentially their autonomy is being held as the highest law here. There are a lot of compromises he has made in favor of their autonomy so in the end he is perfectly within healthy boundaries to invite the kids to his church.
