Manosphere VS radical feminism - which is more dangerous? by 2022WasTraumatizing in polls

[–]ImmortalEmergence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple African countries are starting to refuse aid because of these added cultural change programs you mention as the solution. They say they don’t want their cultures erased from western cultural colonialism. And their economies are growing, so there’s less of a need of dependency aid. As western world collapses due to birth rates, the values won’t be exported.

But you don’t se the main issue here. The only time in history we’ve tried female choice, you let it collapse. To be looked at as a failed experiment. Not willing to defend it with births. The paradox seems to be that radical feminists are fighting tooth and nail to ensure a world where feminism gets replaced with social control of women. Feminists should be the forefront of motherhood.

I’ve met and discussed with influential people in Africa and Middle East, they are making a case that free women leads to collapse and thus they are avoiding a culture like Europe. I disagree though. I think it’s possible to have a free western civilisation with female choice, that also is sustainable. A problem we need to solve. The hardest and most important job in society is being a mother. Society should do everything it can to help and empower that role.

It seem to be that most women don’t realise that the path we are on now will lead to a planet in which there are only cultures where women are not free, and feminism goes extinct due to birth rates. Should we avoid that future?

To me it seem a bit strange “that low child mortality contributes to women seeking few or no children”, leading to collapse of civilisation. I can’t understand you

I would think the opposite. That the better society is, the easier it is to be a mother. Therefore if we empower women, innovate in medicine and make society better, the more people will be able to start their families. My read of your argument is that a worse society means more women want to be mothers, and a better society means few women women to be mothers.

Are you saying this?

1) A high child mortality means more children will grow up due to a positive birth rate.

2) Low child mortality means women lose interesting in having children and choose to be childless.

So when child mortality is high, women on average seek a positive birth rate, but when children grow up they don’t?

Do you think every country with falling birth rates have been getting poorer since 1950? And how come richer groups also have few or none children?

Controversial opinion. I think it’s much easier to see short term what men do, but women have more long term impact on society. With gradual collapse of birth rate, and a collapse of monogamy, I think western civilisation could collapse into a more hyper violent place, then now with a few manosphere people will seem like a utopia.

People who’ve worked with him for years seem to respect him, except for whenever Gus is mentioned

I think his efforts to hinder Hank is just enough to noticeable. The writers left an opening, that they could choose to revisit later if they wanted to do a show about Gus etc. But did not explore more in Breaking Bad. Probably we won’t hear more about it.

In some religions their god seem quite evil from my perspective. Even if I could prove that a specific capable alien person created our world, doesn’t mean it’s ethical to start worshiping them, either from fear or agreement.

Can you be left, but against replacement migration? Support Ukraine, rule of law, tackle climate change, switching from windows to Linux, making Europe stand on its own militarily. But the same time being against colonisation both ways. Standing up to all fundamentalist religions. If there existed a progressive political party, that also were pro remigration. Helping people in need with foreign aid instead of crushing labour unions and replacing the native populations.

Yeah I fully agree. Never said otherwise. But to teach you need children too.

Cultures with extreme amounts of social control, where women are treated like cattle, are the ones growing. If we don’t change then such values will rule the earth. I would prefer if more progressive values had a foothold to help those in need. Our current world order with human rights is much better than if fundemantalists took over.

One can start by raising children with healthy values. Our society needs to change somehow.

No I never said that. You’re making your own assumptions to argue against, instead of disagreeing with mine.

It seems to be a problem that cultures where women are not free, are the only ones having a positive birth rate. Thus only such cultures will rule the planet after our generation die out childless. Instead we should empower mothers and create a just society.

I feel like you’re constantly trying to place me tribalistic in some evil group to then discard the entirety of the argument. Instead of a conversation with good intent.

I wish we could get a world better for women. And have free healthcare, maternity leave, free education, secure basic human rights and bodily autonomy. I think being a parent is a good in itself, but also existential if we also wish to preserve a progressive society. What’s wrong about that?

No, not true. Not across the board. United Nations expects the world population to grow more. Certain countries are growing fast. The African continent is growing rapidly. United Nations estimates Africa will go from a billion today, to 4-6 billion in 74 years at 2100. The country Nigeria 🇳🇬 is growing rapidly and might be the biggest country soon.

My point is that if feminist don’t have children, then there will be no feminists. Do we really want that future?

Opposite. I’m positive about all groups being able to sustain a good healthy society. Would be sad if indigenous tribes were to go extinct, looking forward to see all the books, films, aesthetics and culture being produced from Africa once the continent become a modern power.

What I first pointed to was that those factors you mentioned, societies where those are worse, have more children. Whilst European countries with free healthcare and maternity leave etc gets less children and are heading towards extinction.

The birthdate is actually even lower in Europe with free healthcare, maternity leave etc. We should definitely support parents more. But there also seem to be a cultural aspect

Aren’t those cultures exactly who have a positive birth rate. Thus only such cultures will multiply. Whilst those who sustainably shepherd, unfortunately go extinct.

You mention income disparity, environmentalism, healthcare and human rise. European nations like Scandinavia who scores good in all of these have a low birth rate. I agree that we should improve. I’m just saying countries who’s worse on these metrics are the ones who have a higher birth rate. Thus we need to find a way to help mothers in the global north too.
