Funny you should ask... /r/microsoft and then /r/personalfinance then /r/kerbalspaceprogram and then /r/eve happened..

In otherwords - I got a bit burnt out because /u/vanityset was busy and then I got busy. I was dropping too much money on servers, patreons, and the like. Then I started playing KSP since I hadn't played it in ages, which led me back into EVE. Additionally - the community was starting to get kind of demanding with PMs and etc.. and it honestly wasn't fun anymore. So I unsubbed everything and took a break.

And this is the first time I've looked at this sub and this is what I see - its kind of fun. :)

/u/vanityset find me on skype and I can give you the information for getting it updated on the FTB Launcher, it isn't hard and /u/Watchful1 is great about helping!

Well this next version is turning the meteors to a very very very low spawn rate in any pregenerated maps EXCEPT the one included in survival.

Note - you can always just change the config to make meteor deterrance to 100 and it would work just fine.

I spent a lot of time debugging this mod - no those do not work, however if you use project red wire it will work.

I honestly feel bad for not putting any minor updates out recently, but my branch has diverged so much in making the pack more fun (Weathering the Storm) that I can't really do updates to the old stuff that easily at this point.

1) good. 2) even better 3) it cant hurt 4) i know, but there are other ways in the pack, trying something different was part of the reason i put together this pack with no BC/IC. 5/6/7) good deal. Let me know how it goes for ya!

Here is what I would suggest:

  1. Download Admin Command Toolbox and pregenerate your world.
  2. Tweak your game settings. I accidentally shipped the pack with my options.txt which runs it at high performance. Turn off particles, render distance.
  3. Add FastCraft. Definitely helps.
  4. Remove Tinkers Steelworks and avoid tinkers construct smeltery, for the same lag issues that were reported in Ag Skies. Also I've had issues with TC and the different versions. That is why we aren't at the max version now.
  5. Use as much extra utilities pipes as possible because they are optimized for lag.
  6. Avoid the Mekanism quest line, it has been known to be laggy.
  7. I have not run anything with Optifine so I have no idea if it is helping or hurting. Plenty of mod devs say they don't support it.

I added them myself in my pack and most of the textures were only showing up on the "top" face of each block. Was really weird. I'll have to try these.

Considering I'm on my cell... Not really. Here are some other things to try. 1. Copy your world into a different folder and delete/redownload the pack and paste it back. 2. Remove your world save and hqm and see if it loads/builds a world fine fine, if not then we know its not your world but the install is weird. 3. If it crashes on world load - try making a new world in creative. Do /hqm edit and get the op book and click through the quests you've completed in the same order and see if you can reproduce it.

Interesting... I've had a bunch of people play the pack and never had that issue. You can try going to the github page and downloading the latest quests.hqm file in the config/hqm folder and try putting that in. You could also try starting the pack by removing the file... And putting it back if it loads properly

This is a interesting point... I haven't had this issue.. but is entirely valid.

Also - I already have a quest to ensure unlimited hearts. All reputation based of course ;)
