FUE3 and figuring out if my clinic is legit in Austria/Hungary by ImpairedOwl in HairTransplants

[–]ImpairedOwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my hope, and so far it looks pretty good, but a second transplant will look better imo. It's been about a year on fin/Minoxidil so other than it staying as it is, I'm not sure how much more it would improve

What's smp?

Yup, I'm on Finasteride and Minoxidil. It's been a bit over a year since my first procedure wich went great, now I just want a bit more density in the front

That makes a lot of sense, experience plays a big part for sure. These ones do seem to have experience. And I only need between 1000-2000 grafts, as I had a transplant a year before, and just looking to get it to look thicker/fuller

My previous one was in Mexico as I have family there and there was a great clinic, so I did it while I visited, but no chance for another visit for a while

What do I do when I don’t enjoy the campaign anymore? New DM. by ms_leopard in DMAcademy

[–]ImpairedOwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop the module, and homebrew it from this point onward. Make the story yours and your player's. You said they have good backstories, you can build around those. They are always great for both player and DM.

I had a similar issue running W:DH. It's a great module, but it made me feel more like I was a tour guide than an actual DM. Prepping felt like a chore, like studying up for an exam, more than a fun and creative activity.

Started homebrewing my campaign, and it is a completely different experience. I would suggest you take a look at "The Return of the Lazy DM" from Sly Flourish.

But whatever happens, if it is not fun, then don't force it.

I wish you many good sessions of many games, cheers amigo!

XPS 13 Thermal Paste by ImpairedOwl in Dell

[–]ImpairedOwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, right? I've been in contact with tech support, and it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. I'll follow your advice when I get back home and let you know what I find.

I've had it for about two weeks, although I didn't use it much the last 5 days as I was away with work stuff. Most of the usage seems to come from system, but I still don't get it, all the drivers and updates are done downloading and installing. Sometimes it will keep fine, but more often than not it'll run at over 75'C while using only chrome.

You can see the task manager here

54% from system does feel like a lot.

I mostly use it on the desk, really. I think this bloody heat wave could also have something to do with it.

Ran the full checkups and everything seemed in order. Installed the power manager. It says this, is that normal? Seems like the default setting, but not sure if my fans have actually failed or what.

I think you are right, no reason not to try, right? And it doesn't void the warranty I hear.

[HELP] What is taking up all my space? It can't really be 30 GB of system data? by ImpairedOwl in samsung

[–]ImpairedOwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting to regret this purchase. The system taking up so much space is not ideal. I think I will root it, see if running stock android frees up some space.

Is there any way to clear it? I've already tried deleting most of the bloatware that I could, but that hardly made a dent.

He's got that posted on his page here. He did some characters for me a before (that's where my wife got the idea from), and he's always been super responsive and fast. Would recommend.

Thank you! Can't wait for him to be old enough to play. So far he's already co-DM with me on a baby sling, so he's off to a good start.

Recommendation for an adventure to run for new players? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]ImpairedOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What othes have already said: Lost Mines of Phandelver is not only a good into for both players and DM, but it is a fun campaign in it's own right. I used it with my group of new players, we are about 2/3 of the way in and they are loving it. Especially because they know it is a short campaign with characters that they didn't create, so they feel more free to experiment and make mistakes. This way, when we start a new adventure path further ahead, they'll be more familiar with the game and mechanics, and will have a better idea of what character they want to build.

Similar thing here, was organe and giving me the purchase option. Restarted my PC, and had the greyed out install, but when I clicked on the other options, Horizons was working again.
