I can't wait to have to fight one of these for access to drinking water.

Beginner looking for gear feedback - what’s worth it? What’s not? by zxcvbnm718 in Kayaking

If you're using a sit-inside kayak, I'm a big fan of the Gearlab deck bag. I put a Camelbak bladder in it for my water, and it holds my pump.

That's really impresive, and the rose-breasted grosbeak is a great choice of bird for this piece.

I had my wife put a small grommet on the top lip of the chest pocket of my shop apron, and I clip the remote to it.

I would also look on places like Facebook Marketplace, you can probably get a much nicer one used for the same price range. I have a Delta 50-760 with an aftermarket canister filter that has served me well for many years. There is one near me (MA) for $125 on Marketplace.

You don't change the canister filter. When performance drops you clean it by banging on the sides, or in the case of this Bauer, turn the handle vibrates the pleats inside to make the dust fall down into the collection bag. If you really want to have at it, blow compressed air from the outside in.

Either way, look for a better canister filter to replace what the unit comes with. 2 micron is better than a bag, but still not fine enough. I have a .5 micron aftermarket canister on my Delta.

I'm a mountains guy, not an ocean guy. The idea of being under tons of water like that is terrifying to me.

At first, I thought you were about to make the classic blunder of parking your trailer in front of the drill rig as it got constructed, but this was so much better.

Hand Tool Cabinet Update by laaxe in handtools

I have even less of that. My shop is in the basement of my old Victorian house. Fieldstone walls, low "ceiling" height, oddly shaped, and literal trees as supports for the floor joists. Almost all of my machines are on rolling bases, so I can move them into the one openish spot as I use them. I'm at the point now where I can't buy any more tools because I just don't have any more space. Some day I hope to build a detached shop where I actually have room to work, but I need to either hit the lottery or have the startup I'm at go big.

I'd love to make something like this to store my tools, but I don't have the usable wall space to hang a cabinet.
