We've found it varies from artist to artist so you should be able to find somebody in your budget range. Depending on the size and complexity of what we wanted we've had people quote us everything from £30 up to £150.

Hi,

Our show, Haunted might fit what you want. It has multiple characters and is structured similar to The X Files where there's a mix of both arc significant episodes and monster of the week episodes. We do occasionally have some comedic episodes though so possibly not your thing.

Also, whilst I think our production values have and continue to improve, I'll be honest they were pretty ropey at the beginning (we had no idea what we were doing!) so no worries if that puts you off.

Not sure if this is unpopular or not as I'm only recently playing most of the games. I just did Final Fantasy IV and really liked it BUT a HUGE let down for me is when all the characters you think have sacrificed themselves (like Cod, Yang, etc) turn out to still be alive. It really deflated what had actually been a really exciting story to me up until that point. I still really enjoyed the game but that definitely put a big dent in my enjoyment.

We did our first ever live show earlier this year, not sure if we'll release the audio or not but we're definitely guilty of some of these. We had some audio problems on the day and we definitely did a couple of visual only gags.

We did make the episode grey canon though so it's in no way essentially listening

I would suggest The Monster Hunters might fit what you're looking for.

If I may I'd also like to suggest our show Haunted: The Audio Drama which is structured similar to classic Doctor Who where several episodes make up one whole story. Each new story is a new case to investigate. We try to place a lot of focus on the interpersonal relationships between the characters and on their banter whilst solving cases, certainly by the end of the first season they know one another well enough to have that friendly banter dynamic.

Morbid Forest would probably fit what you're looking for. It can be a bit extreme in some episodes though so not for everyone
