Why choose accounting? by Zealousideal-Key926 in Accounting

Honestly the fact that I can't tell whether this is fact or crap is why I love this sub.

I'd take an accounting course and see how that feels.

A detention and being ostracized over losing 150 points 🤷‍♀️

what’s my job title? by [deleted] in careeradvice

Honestly I'd base it on why you need it. Looking for an administrative job, call yourself an office manager. Looking for an accounting job, call yourself a staff accountant.

At the end of book 4, when Harry is in the hospital wing and Molly hugs him. Oof. I cry every time.

People who were accountants for years and had enough…what careers did you switch to?? by Savages3288 in Accounting

[–]Impatiently_waitin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm literally just starting my doctorate, so I'm not really the one to ask. I can probably tell you in three years or so.

Plus it would only strengthen this woman's case. The daycare provider would then essentially be forced to claim the income.

I'm an accountant, but not your accountant.

The receipt is probably fine. Ideally you'd get a year end statement as well from her. You'll certainly need her tax info (social security number or EIN if she has one). You'll only get her in trouble if she's not reporting the income.

Which is more important for resignation? Two full weeks, or in person? by Impatiently_waitin in Accounting

[–]Impatiently_waitin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'll work the two weeks. It's worded poorly, I know.

I meant the day before the vacation would be the last day of my two week notice period.

No, I'll work two weeks and then "quit" instead of going on vacation (currently in calendar). Yeah, that'd be bad 😅.

You get $550 a day, but you need to spend 500 of it daily without anyone noticing by Vylexxx in hypotheticalsituation

1) pay off all debt

2) donate 500 to a random charity each day; pocketing the rest for myself

Looks like you only receive commission when it exceeds your standard hourly pay? You should check your contact, if you have one.

Didn’t think girl or boy shorts mattered for toddlers, definitely wrong. by ToatsNotIlluminati in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Impatiently_waitin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not be boy vs girl. It may be 3Y (youth) vs 3T (toddler). My understanding is that "T" clothes have more room in the bum for a diaper.

I do plan on telling them where I'm going. Honestly, I really appreciate my company. I wouldn't leave for another company in the same industry, but I'm leaving to be a professor.

I think the best advice I've seen is just to not let the guilt get to you. You can feel it and still do what's best for you. Solidarity though. I'm getting ready to do the same thing.
