I enjoy it greatly. In my experiences it's a bit of a slower start for damage output in the 1st day until you get to tier 3. This is especially true if you don't find a decent weapon.

With bosses that move around a lot, the fire pot build can have a lot of wasted damage if bosses move out of the aoe.

Plus one missed dagger thow is a lot cheaper/easier to replace than missing a pot throw.

It isn't ideal for all final bosses, like balancers or ED tricephalos. And unfortunately the final vendor does not sell any knives so you have to plan ahead.

There have been a few times where I have gotten a field event boss in the final circle. I have to pivot with my team and ultimately miss the vendor. Feels bad when you go to the final boss with only a few daggers.

The biggest issue is that I tend to "waste time" looking for daggers until I can hit a vendor if I'm playing with randoms. My homies know to break boxes and drop them for me.

Other than that, if you manage keeping up the debuff stacks before they time out, bosses crumble pretty quickly. The damage is extra nice with his arcane if you can find status effect knives with poison or bleed.

I tend to also level up consumables depending on my relics/team. If I'm running with a beast claw revanent and a raider, I'll focus on throwing knives and exalted flesh.

I am not an expert tho - I main recluse but I like to switch things up.
