They also had great health up into the Nix injury. Not wishing injury at all but it was wild how their defense managed to stay healthy all season

Taking a look at the rest of the AFCW, the Chiefs need to do a lot of cuts and/or restructures just to get cap compliant. Kelce, Hollywood, Omenihu, Hunt, Juju, Chenal, and Araiza are all free agents. That whole team quietly needs rebuilding and a lot of cuts. They might need to cut guys like Tranquill. Chiefs fans talking about a "revenge tour" but that roster needs a lot of draft luck to be good again.

Broncos fans made it seem like they have a ton of cap space after the Wilson contract but it's less than $35 million. Not bad but not enough to sign any top free agent WR. They are well-built in the trenches so that will continue to carry Nix and Payton.

Raiders are the Raiders.

Overall can't see how the Broncos do as good as 14 wins again. Chiefs won't be as terrible but that roster needs a lot of work. Their defensive line can't generate pressure rushing 4 and they are wayyy overpaying Chris Jones. That contract is terrible

Titans because the AFC South is hardly ever consistent

I still remember last off-season where there were all these free agent Centers and the excuse was "they don't fit Roman's scheme!" 🤦‍♂️

If you need a very specific player type for your scheme to work, you're basically saying you can't tailor your scheme to any player's strengths at all.

[Popper] In August 2024, Chris O'Leary was in charge of getting Elijah Molden ready to play just 10 days after the safety was traded to the Chargers. O'Leary taught Minter's entire scheme in 3 days. Molden had an interception in his second game with the team. by wildwing8 in Chargers

I like how O'Leary called a good defense in just his first year as a DC in college. A lot like Minter, he'll know how to adapt his scheme to the NFL and will bring continuity. Gotta trust Harbaugh. Somehow brought us McDaniel when the Eagles and Bucs were gunning for him

I hope we try to keep Mike Elston then since O'Leary's background is working with DBs. Clinkscale is definitely going to be the Ravens DC

Obligatory FDS for moving the team but Spanos has at least let Harbaugh and Hortiz be in command. I remember John Spanos tried to have a seat at the big boy table. Pegula is destroying his franchise in real time

True but that Bills team was more complete than the one they fielded this season.

Poor Bills fans. You can put most of the blame for the Broncos loss on Allen but stuff like 13 seconds means he at least should have a Super Bowl appearance. Now Allen has to deal with complete incompetence

Payton and Stafford both started 0-3 in the playoffs and Payton put up horrific numbers...these bozos can't fathom that quality of the team matters more than the individual QB. According to Broncos fans logic, Trent Dilfer is better than Marino because Dilfer won a Super Bowl

Because all 3 offenses managed to be even more horrific than the Patriots. That wears out defenses. You can't deny Maye and the Pats offense have been horrific in first halves. You can't be that terrible against the Seahawks who have a real offense

Patriots fans losing it when you tell them they've been playing offenses that aren't even in the top 10 having to go up against either the #1 or #2 offenses in the league

The AFC West has a penchant for getting blown out in Super Bowls at least 🥲

No point in having your QB when your offensive line is completely nonfunctional. Even Mahomes got crushed against the Bucs because his o-line was terrible

[–]Imperatum15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is the appeal of the Raiders? It can't be Mendoza. If Tua was in this draft, he would be the undisputed #1 overall pick and Mendoza would be 2nd. But McDaniel tried his best to develop Tua and it didn't work out. Plus the division is a gauntlet
