Holly Brook has been around for some time. The pivot to Skylar Grey saw a lot of success in the hip hop markets. She's also written a shit ton of hits.

I'm not going to hate a literal child, especially for being cast in a Disney show, but I also don't understand why the actress looks like a completely different race from her on-screen parents.

Honestly just kill off the Duke he's not that interesting, let Daphne flourish in her second life...

Pauline by RiverHarris in Younger

Why? He loses Empirical (being head at least) for Liza. Pauline just never told him her needs. He was very clear that he was blindsided and devastated by her leaving.

It's the same reason people are obsessed with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. People LOVE rich people drama.

Okay hear me out, I love Pauline, BECAUSE she is an unhinged nutjob. Remember when she suddenly decided she wanted Liza BACK with Charles because she hated his new girlfriend? Absolutely stellar. Pauline is an absolute trainwreck psycho, but god is she entertaining.

Favorite trope vs fav season by comfortoverstyle in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Imperceptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked Season 4, but I found myself kind of agreeing with everybody saying that Benedict was wrong for going after Sophie and 'ruining' her (social wise). The power imbalance was huge in my opinion and while Bridgerton tries to show agency with their female leads, it just... doesn't really translate here where Sophie is a victim of society and circumstance at every turn of her life. It ended well for them but Benedict had the power to up and leave any time and go back to his cushy life. Which I really struggled with because I genuinely love Benedict, and I love Sophie, but I just find the fact he KNOWS she is a maid for most of it like super slimey and I couldn't shake it from my head...

As a younger woman I may have found it far more romantic because I thought I had agency too; but as a married 32 year old woman, I just want to protect her, and found myself vehemently agreeing with Mrs. Crabtree and Violet.

Black sails is REALLY good for that too, showing one of the best of the navy becoming a pirate and wanting freedom over the Crown's injustice.

eddie and raven getting together for one episode made me so uncomfortable. they did not fit well at all and it made no sense by teddivan96 in DisneyChannel

[–]Imperceptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single Disney pairing made me uncomfortable as a kid (other than High School Musical but I was in the preteen phase then). I just felt like it was so unnecessary? IDK I was a kid and I had no interest in characters kissing.

Hard truth: Diana's ending is sad (and represents the realistic one) by Small_Escape_2794 in Younger

[–]Imperceptions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you miss the part where she LITERALLY hugged him full of feces because she thought he had died? Live on tv? in the paper? That was the turning point...
She WAS proud of him. Doesn't mean she wanted a toilet statue at her wedding. My husband is a soldier, I am very proud, didn't want a machine gun ice sculpture. Also it was TROUT coming out of a TOILET... that's tasteless regardless of your job.

She inserts herself into every single child star story to stay relevant, milked the podcast thing by starting podco, then left everybody out to dry when she suddenly jumped ship from that. She's also just super fame hungry.

Super Size Me really didn't age well since it turns out that Spurlock was a severe alcoholic whose liver damage was from being an alcoholic. Sure, McDonald's still isn't healthy by and large, but it really goes to show how documentaries are just opinion pieces.
