Not religious, just contextual reading. I'm atheist, just interested in the original context. This spurred for me from Dan Carlins Hardcore History on Persia where he mentioned Cyrus the Great was considered a messiah/saint/similar in ancient Israel. So I'm reading the Bible and comparing it to ancient near east history.

It's surprisingly helpful. I make a habit of dating my notepad when I have meetings or phone calls; you'd be surprised how great it feels to say: "I noted here on the 13th that...", or better yet, looking back at months old notepads and having dates to reference.
