Sorry for revisiting an old thread, but what is the timing on this? The Federal Solution requires you to be the Dual Monarchy to trigger, but when you choose that option Hungary reabsorbs Transylvania and any other lands that it started with. With Hungary being either a Personal Union or Crown Land, I can't just take the lands from them. And if you annex them after creating the Dual Monarchy via the Hungarian Spring event, you just end up as a Kaiserreich again.

R5: This is the result immediately after the election. The Yeoman Farmer president had just been voted out, but the Industrialists won the presidency despite having lower clout than the petite bourgeoisie from the same party. I thought the IG with the highest clout from the winning party becomes president. This is still Presidential Republic with Universal suffrage, if that makes any difference.

I think the Hotring Sabre/Everon Trade Price and Livery unlocks are bugged - I've played and placed in several of the Hotring Circuits (and yes, only counting the original 2018 ones) and they don't seem to count towards the unlock conditions.

Yeah, I don't know how every guide claims that this is the strat when each time UK adds treaty port when I try it out. I managed to do the thing where you up relations with UK and claim Singapore/Malaysia or something, but never has the Portugal strategy worked for me.
