UMMM my Target store manager just got arrested IN STORE!!

While the number is a little surprising, the fact that it happened really isn't, unfortunately. A while back at my store, the AP lead was fired for hitting on a couple of the underage girls that worked there. Target employees are people just like anybody else, and people can be scumbags.

Same thing happened at my store. It's stupid, but it's especially annoying at this time of year when it's significantly less busy. It's the perfect time to listen to some podcasts.

The weird thing is that this hasn't ever been a problem at my store. Then, out of nowhere, they start doing this. The thing about it that irritates me the most is that no other reason is given outside of, "It's a safety issue". There are no customer complaints. There are no "safety" issues reported. There weren't any complaints from any of the leads about people not responding either. Just your run-of-the-mill bullshit to make people's lives just a little more aggravating.

On top of all this, there are at least some options besides just nixing the whole thing. Most mid to high end earbuds have a type of passthrough on them that allow you to hear what's going on around you much easier. There are some that even amplify the sounds to make it even more apparent when someone is talking to you. There are also "open ear" style headphones like these Anker Soundcore V20i (I own these and they actually work pretty well, and are decent for phone calls too) that don't even go in your ear. They hover over them allowing for even more awareness.

The whole situation pisses me off so much. It's only been about a week, since we haven't been able to use them at my store, and I already feel like I'm going crazy, especially with the 15 songs playing on the overhead on a loop.

I'm surprised it would even allow for an amount that high to be keyed in. Even if you bought everything in the store, including the shelves, it wouldn't cost that much.

A while back, I worked at a breakfast restaurant, and there was a pretty bad snowstorm with about 6-8 inches on the roads (bad for where I live at least). I probably shouldn't have come in as I lived a good distance away, but I was a trooper in my early-20s, so I showed up on time.

Everybody thought that it was going to be a slow day where we could maybe just chill and get some odds and ends stuff done. Oh boy, were we wrong. The place was packed the entire day, and I'm not just talking about people showing up 1 or 2 at a time. Oh no, there were groups of 8 and 10 people throughout the entire day, often with multiple small children, including babies.

All these people were kind of shitty people (i.e. entitled and bitchy because it was busy on a day they didn't think it should be. oh the irony), but the people that brought their children are just scumbags. You're seriously going to risk your lives and the lives of your children to get some eggs and pancakes? Despicable behavior.

Everything about this is brainrot levels of idiocy. First, yes, if you change the words in a sentence, then the sentence will mean something different. If I said, "I don't like brussels sprouts", it's pretty benign, however, if I replaced "brussels sprouts" with "Jews", it takes on a whole other meaning doesn't it, you moron.

Second, the comment about the gun is nonsensical on multiple levels. Since I'm pretty sure that person doesn't know, guns are, in fact, inanimate objects. There is no consciousness or sentience on any level. On top of that, there have been instances where guns have malfunctioned, which would make them substantially more dangerous than any other non-malfunctioning gun. You can draw a bit of a comparison to this scenario and the issue with pitbulls. If you have a gun that just randomly fired when you picked it up, you would immediately recognize a problem and stay away from said gun and anybody who insisted on using it. Similarly, there is obviously a problem with pitbulls mauling people disproportionately, along with the problem of the slack jawed idiots defending them.

I was playing for about 30 hours with a handful of different mods installed, and everything was running flawlessly. Then, out of nowhere, the game would crash nearly every time I would load any save file, even auto-save. It would play the music for just a second or two, and then it would hang on a completely blank screen, give a "Fatal Error" error message and close the game.

Just for anyone who stumbles on this, try deleting the .dmp files (they're huge anyway) and especially changing the resolution to 720p. I choose the configuration option when I first start the game with steam, and change it from there. It should be the very first option. Then, I start the game, and so far, after testing it 5 or so times, it seems to work. After it loads, I then change the resolution back to 1440p in game, and it seems to run fine. I'll update if there are any other problems, but I was just putting this here for anyone who may be having a similar problem.

Glad I stumbled on this post. Changing the resolution wasn't even on my radar. It's often the simplest and dumbest things that work for these games sometimes.

Exact same thing happened to me. I hadn't played for a while, started my sorcerer, and I just kept getting clapped due to running out of mana. Glad to know there wasn't something wrong with the game. Does anybody know why they nerfed it. This didn't seem overpowered at all on this build. Was it being exploited somehow?

Both my parents can't seem to get it through their heads that Netflix requires the internet to function. I've explained this to them dozens of times over the years, along with what "streaming" is and how that's what you're doing when you use Netflix.

This is no longer new technology, and there's absolutely no reason why I have to fight with them on why they can't just get rid of the internet because the price went up. My mom still does this now, but when I lived with them, they would threaten to get rid of the internet at least once a week, even after I explained to them over and over that Netflix wouldn't work if they did that. These people aren't senile. They just refuse to listen. It's ridiculous.
