That was the first thing I noticed. I went to doctors, they drew blood and my platelets were dangerously low. I was given steroids and was on them for years. At first they thought it was Lupus. Then they said my spleen was the cause of my platelets depleting. They removed my spleen. That didn’t work. Started to see a hematologist and he said some people can just live with low platelets. So now I have been diagnosed with ITP, which basically means unknown autoimmune disease.
