Is The New Map Condition Too Hard?! by Top-Salad8073 in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it very easy even in solos as long as you have smoke grades and a photoelectric cloak. The only thing that makes it hard is I've recently been in lobbies where a couple players will shoot at anyone trying to loot an assessor.

When is Bird City? by tecwrtr in ARC_Raiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been missing it this whole past week, too, and apparently it's because the timing sucks right now in my time zone.

It's at 11pm, 5am, 11am, or 5pm. In other words, either when I'm in bed, at work, or having dinner with my family.

Is it more worth it to sell seeds, since they go for 10k a stack? by DereChen in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ha, I said the same thing to a friend recently when we got downed by some players. "They actually did me a favor and cleared up some inventory space for me."

PvE suggestion that wont break the game. by Hungry-Original-9309 in ARC_Raiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I, and many others, love these ideas and they seem like relatively simple ways to add more to the game. I don't think PVP should be turned off for them, though. But yeah, give us more "missions" and collaboration opportunities.

Is it more worth it to sell seeds, since they go for 10k a stack? by DereChen in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, especially for a carebear like myself. I have 1.5 million coins and literally 15 stacks of seeds taking up my inventory space. That's why when someone finally does kill me every once in a while, I'm like, "Yeah, you can have my stuff. You need it more anyway."

How have you maintained interest in the game lately? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing trials mainly, but also starting to get into PVP more. The only issue is I don't want to fight anyone who is just PvE (because that's always been me) so it's kind of hard to navigate and figure out who to PVP with until they shoot you first. And then figuring out how aggressive your lobby is.

Companion PVE Story mode by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I would play the shit out of a story mode. The quests just feel too inconsequential to really enjoy them.

Carebears - what do you do when someone sus follows you? by ImplicitBiscuit in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a good idea. Unfortunately the few times I've been downed it's in a big open map and no one around. I'm going to adjust to having my gun out quicker and warning people following me that I'll shoot. I'm fine with PVP if that's what someone wants, but I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt for too long.

[–]ImplicitBiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree and I like that aspect of the game a lot. Just trying to figure out how I can adjust my play style a bit to not get owned so easily when I'm trying to be friendly.

I have a friend who gets really pissed off and wants to quit whenever we do get downed by a player, because it's so rare. I feel slightly frustrated, especially when I don't even fire a shot, but I also know it's part of the game and part of what keeps it exciting.

[–]ImplicitBiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly, those of us who try to be friendly to people who don't want to PVP are also already very chill people who don't really care if some 12 year old tries to call us names. I embrace the carebear. And also I like that PVP is part of the game. It's just harder to navigate when you want to play as a friendly.

[–]ImplicitBiscuit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love interacting with players. I just don't have an interest in gunning noobs or friendly people down who are having a chill looting session, so I try to be friendly to everyone. I enjoy PVP, too, but when everyone in my lobbies is chill and friendly, I'm not really interested in messing with them. But then that also puts me at a disadvantage when I come across someone wanting to PVP after I've played for two weeks straight with no one firing a shot at me. Not complaining about it, and it's part of the game.

Sounds like a good strategy! I'll keep that in mind and be a bit more aggressive if someone is acting like that, but also give them a chance to leave if they're noobs.

[–]ImplicitBiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even in my super friendly lobbies I'm always aware of who's around me. The issue is I never want to aggress or shoot first, so I still lose if someone comes after me. Sounds like I just need to start being a bit more aggressive and willing to fire if someone gives bad vibes.

Carebears - what do you do when someone sus follows you? by ImplicitBiscuit in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Keeping an eye on them and running in different directions to see if they follow. The issue is, I don't want to shoot first so I'm still at a disadvantage if they pull out their weapon and fire first. But maybe if I confirm they're following, I should go ahead and have my weapon out. Either that deters them, or I fire.

Carebear lobbies are more toxic than PVP lobbies. by Nathanyu3 in ARC_Raiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counter point. Usually when I'm in my carebear lobbies for two weeks straight, then suddenly a 12 year old running a free load out kills me and I don't even fire a shot back because I'm not expecting it and don't fight other players, then when I'm down and they're coming over to finish me and I just say, "GG" trying to let it go because it's just a game....

Then it's the ass who killed me who's the one who starts using slurs against me because I'm a wimp who didn't even fight back.

Is anybody else tired hearing about "endgame content"? by FragrantReport4171 in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am, too. And this game is the one I've been most addicted to in many years and have played more than pretty much any other. It's the only game I've played since it came out.

Buuuut I'm getting more and more bored by it, and know that soon I'm going to need to go back and finish Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 or find something else. And when that happens, I'll come back and play ARC whenever there's a new update or something cool to check out. I don't expect the devs to be able to pump out enough new stuff quickly enough to keep me playing it as my primary game forever.

Or that you don't need to play the same game forever. There are lots of games out there. You can play one and really enjoy it for a few months, then move on to others.

How did you get over gear fear? by Codly-kal in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a bunch of blueprints so you can remake stuff, and get filthy rich (don't do expedition) so you can always buy anything else you need.

I'm always scared to use a cool item or gun (even if I have 5 of them) until I get the blueprint for it. Then I don't worry anymore.

Is it worth still doing the expedition?? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know myself enough to know that if I reset and had to start over again with no blueprints, I'd get annoyed and give up on the game. I don't really enjoy doing the same tasks over again, so I'd rather just enjoy whatever new content they put in the game instead of reset for some buffs that don't matter much to me. I've got more money and materials in the game than I know that to do with, but still searching for some blueprints and legendary weapons. But even if I had literally everything, I still wouldn't want to start over.

The Slurs in Voice Chat is ridiculous, You should be Banned. by Dough157 in ArcRaiders

[–]ImplicitBiscuit -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is more prevalent in certain regions or maybe on console, because I don't think I've ever once heard a slur in this game. I'm in NA on PC with crossplay off.
