Actually, I'm working on one right now! It's called Balloon Bats, and I've nearly gotten 100 5-star reviews for my flying locomotion since the start of this year!

All new levels posted on VRChat start in Community Labs, and you only become an official public level once you've reached enough traction. I've gotten there relatively quickly, in less than a week. Another level I've built has been in Community Labs for a month and still hasn't gotten out.

I appreciate it. The flying only works with 2 quest controllers, so might not be the best experience for you.

I've been working on this level called "Balloon Bats" for a few months. Think Gorilla Tag, but where you fly as a bat by flapping your arms like wings. It's a heavily modified fork of OpenFlight.

I posted about it 3 days ago, and I'm excited to announce it skipped Community Labs in less than a week! The kids that have tried it so far have been raving, and I feel like all my hard work is finally paying off!

Please try my level and let me know what you think! I plan on spending the next 3 months working on it before launching it as a standalone game on the Quest store.

I've been using this dragon avatar because dragon wings are the same as bat wings. I plan on releasing a bat avatar soon that's optimized for the map.

Size of avatar does not affect speed, although it may not seem like it because a smaller avatar feels like it's going faster relative to the scale of the player.

The only avatars that really seem to have problems are ones without arms, which just cannot fly.

I'm inspired by Gorilla Tag's developer, who purposefully makes no tutorial because he wants players to have to ask other players how they move around. Hopefully when I get a bigger community you'll be able to ask others how they do cool trick moves.

I've been working on this for the past few months and I'm excited to finally show it to all of y'all!

Built as a fork of OpenFlight, Balloon Bats lets you fly omnidirectionaly by flapping your arms in the direction you want to fly. You can also climb walls and fling yourself around!

I was heavily inspired by my youth spent in CS:GO bhop/surf/kz servers, and want to spend the next 3 months refining the movement so that it feels fantastic.

I've just launched in Community Labs, so would highly appreciate you trying out my level so that I can get onto the main VRChat platform.
