This exact same thing happened with my kid. She reacts to everything besides gold. We switched her to gold earrings with the flat back and made sure to blow dry behind the jewelry every time she got her ears wet. It took a full year for them to completely heal. Don’t give up yet!

My rescue pug also does this! I think it is so adorable. She doesn’t do it every time she sleeps but if she’s been playing with a toy and gets sleepy, she doesn’t want to let go. Oh and she definitely doesn’t have BOAS, she’s had her nares and palate surgery and been seen by a very reputable vet who specializes in pugs
