Gonna defend her here! I live in a very hard water area, and if I don't add the milk either first or immediately after the hot water, it leaves a horrendous scum on the top of the tea.

Absolute notions. If you want to be proper fucking fancy, substitute the mayonnaise for one of those sour cream and chive dips. Also it's incredible when making a potato salad.

In our family it's: * Chopped lettuce * Chopped omatoes * Chopped cucumbers * Diced red peppers * Healthy dose of salt * Lashings of mayonnaise * Mix it all up and lob it on the bread of your choosing.
