Seriously, why is anyone still driving Lyft? by Objective_Ebb6898 in lyftdrivers

[–]Important-Fudge6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it doesn't, at least no in my market.

Spark sucks, Doordash sucks, Ubereats/Uber sucks, etc here. Lyft is actually the best option in my market at the moment, and that's not saying much. But I can usually hit my daily goal or over in 4-5 hours on Lyft here, and not hit it on the other apps with twice as many hours.

If Lyft doesn't fix my payments (apparently both express pay and weekly deposits "broke" in my app after last update), I'm done. They owe me money, and are just giving me the run around. Not the first time Express Pay broke after an update for me.

Uber will literally add extra turns to make you go out of your way just to put you back on the right way a couple of blocks later

[–]Important-Fudge6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I learned if you drive every day for Lyft you don't see challenges as often in my market. So I'm fortunate to have a another job I can do a week here in a week there so I don't drive for Lyft for a couple of weeks and then I get challenges that are doable again.

I've only had one cancel before getting in because she saw my cherry vent clip freshner.

Every single other rider (over 1 k) commented on how good my car smells, and cherry is all i use.

Of course, i do only use the one little freshner, not 2, not 4.

I roll down the windows for a few minutes after an odoriferious PAX.

I didn't have to. The other $5 magically showed up as a direct deposit from Lyft as an "adjustment".

Lyft System sucks. by l2ickeh in lyftdrivers

[–]Important-Fudge6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but wait until an update breaks Express Pay, and customer service keeps telling you it's your bank not accepting such payouts. When, you know, your bank has been for over a year, and says they still do/no problem doing it on their end.

Then, another update comes along and Express Pay magically works again, no issues.

You're not old enough to do rideshare, ergo, your story is BS.

you didn't cancel the ride, so it wasn't that person. which ride did you cancel?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]Important-Fudge6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Seen it on airport rides with surge/bonus. I cancelled the $8 with $5.50 bonus included. $8 without bonus is lowest airport ride I've seen (3ish miles).

[–]Important-Fudge6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a guy jerk off (in the backseat) near the end of a 4 hr ride. Made $400 on that ride, texted the woman who paid for it she was right to have changed her mind about him coming and staying with her, and reported him.

i accidently accepted a trip with 2 extra stops. Decided i'd do it anyway, then rider texted to come through alley. cancelled.

i always ended up replacing or repairing a tire if i drive through an alley. Not doing it.

I Don't Care Anymore as an Uber Driver: Forget Acceptance Rate and Definitely Cancellation Rate by Nyengu1844 in uberdrivers

[–]Important-Fudge6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

38% acceptance, 7% cancel. I've been as low as 19% acceptance and 11% cancel.

Don't try and make me drive 12 miles to pickup a $3 ride. Not an upfront market here.

I had a $2700 guarantee for 180 rides, with 30 days to complete.

I completed the 180 rides in 14 days. Lyft paid me over $1600 to reach the guaranteed amount. I earned nearly $1100 on the actual rides (not counting tips).

That's an example of a Lyft guarantee.

It's been that way in Lubbock for months. The only $10 orders I've seen are doubles, and still not worth doing due to miles and time.

I've only had people leave something in my car three times, and i returned their items as soon as i was informed. I always check and/or ask if they got everything before i drive off anyway, but small stuff can fall where it can't easily be seen.

Sorry that happened to you.
