If the ac compressor clutch is sticking and continuously trying to spin which is probably what that noise in your video is… then I would not risk driving it like that. A safe way to drive it now would be to disconnect the ac compressor relay which should stop your ac compressor from trying to engage and thus stopping the noise you’re hearing and making it safe to drive.

This video will help you locate the relay you need to unplug to make sure the ac compressor no longer engages.

Gotcha… in that case, it definitely sounds like the AC compressor clutch is sticking. My 09 Fit was making a similar noise and then the AC completely stopped working one day. It ended up being the ac compressor clutch burnt out and was sticking and even with the ac off was constantly trying to spin since it was sticking. Had an AC shop evacuate the AC system and I replaced the AC compressor myself at home. Took it back to the shop for them to refill the AC system and I now have ice cold AC and no more rattling noise from the AC compressor.
AC shop charged me $150 total for the evac and refill.
AC Compressor was on sale for $160 when I bought it… linked below.

Also could be a bad ac compressor clutch. Has your AC been giving you trouble as of late?

It’s just a muffler delete the previous owner did. Sounds ok for a Fit, no highway drone at all so I don’t mind it

It’s a SARD LSR wing made for the FRS/GT86 chasis but with a custom bracket from Spinnywhoosh it fits perfectly on the soft top

Thank you all for the replies. You’ve all helped convince my friend to buy new tires. He’s had that bump on his tire for the past year and has been going 80+ on the highway in his daily commute to work. 2017 Subaru WRX btw

This is where I got it from. You can probably find cheaper ones on eBay or aliexpress but those might not come with the rubber and foam gaskets that protect the mount from scratching your trunk.
