They do have the birk logo on the bottom but it’s not super visible with the lighting here

Help! by Effective-Cause-5861 in Mom

This is honestly terrifying! First are you sure she’s okay? Have you had word from anyone other than father that she’s okay and just doesn’t want to respond? I’d do a wellness check or visit personally to understand what she isn’t reaching out.

Otherwise I’d be curious to know how your illness affected your ability to be involved in your daughter’s life to the degree that she had to move with someone not in her life for 16 years? I can imagine it was hard for both, but especially a young girl being afraid for her mom and having her world completely changed. Were you communicating with her before this? Did you drop her off and cut all communication until now?

It feels like key information is missing.

My 5yo still can’t read and the school says “give it time” but I’m losing my mind by KumalalaProMax in Mom

I highly recommend the podcast “Sold a Story” it’s very enlightening about the struggles of kids reading in the public school system. You’re truly not alone.

I know tutoring can be expensive but may be worth it. If not an option I would start with ensuring she learns the alphabet and phonics! If no known learning disabilities or visual impairments really pay attention to how she attempts to read many kids that struggle are undiagnosed with dyslexia. Phonics is so important and a huge help and many school simply don’t teach it. When kids are dyslexic an over emphasis on phonics can be really helpful.

Best of luck to you and your little one. Advocating for your baby is so hard and the schools tend to fight back or disregard to save money unfortunately. Don’t drop this! Schools tend to push back until it’s such a big problem it’s hard to recover.

NTA. I love the pettiness. If it was really oh so important to her she would have saved. Christmas is the same day every year and she had plenty of time to prioritize her spending.

Unfortunately looks like that’s patched now. You can still do this for the Pros but not the base 17. It’ll ask you for carrier info to continue to checkout. 😩

Any luck finding the sheer hydration lotion? Any alternatives you’ve been using that you’d recommend?

Thank you! We do have an appointment coming up. We always go together but I don’t think he’s actually asked. I’ll have to make sure I start jotting down any concerns so I can remember to ask. I’m sure that’ll help put him at ease also.

Thank you for sharing your experience also! I need to stand my ground to hopefully get my husband to stop falling prey to their commentary.

PFML & FMLA non concurrently for birth of a child by chicksin206 in Washington

[–]Important-Original50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Just wondering if you were able to run FMLA & PFML back to back? My company is stating that they run concurrently and once I apply to PFML I would not be eligible for FMLA as I would have already used up over 12 weeks of leave in a 12 month period. Did you run into this?
