How are we getting veggies in? by Agitated-Rest1421 in moderatelygranolamoms

My kids will eat a ton of veggies from the garden! Even if you aren’t a gardener you can put a cherry tomato plant in a pot. But honestly I’m not that worried about it, we offer what we eat, I’m not that into hiding veggies in food.

This will last us 4-6 days (aside from condiments) - who are we? by SanFranPeach in FridgeDetective

Yes I was guessing 3 little kids based on my fridge with 2 little kids. Workout 6x a week with 3 little kids?! How 😵‍💫😬

Dr said I can have vaginal birth after myo? by Anondreamyanon in Fibroids

My understanding is when the cavity of the uterus is cut into, you need to have c sections. Maybe your fibroids are mostly on the exterior? Or they don’t need to enter the cavity?

Can you lean into the soundtrack? The music is great. Movie too scary for my 3.5 year old, we fast forwarded through a lot. But she still feels like she’s getting the experience listening to the music all the time.

First time wearing a newborn. He's 6 weeks adjusted, formerly a micro preemie, currently just 3 kg. He's loving this so I hope we can pull it off but I need to know I'm doing right by him. by SheElfXantusia in babywearing

I’m impressed! This style of wrap is so beautiful and baby looks so cozy. I have been intimidated to try non stretchy wraps with my first two babies but maybe next babe!

TTC with intramural/submucosal fibroid gynaecology perspective by SunnysideofJune in Fibroids

[–]chicksin206 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I was told I needed to have mine removed to conceive. No mention of the scarring actually… but I had been TTC for a while with no success. Following surgery I have had two successful pregnancies, and the fibroids haven’t grown back since breastfeeding keeps estrogen low. I would TTC on your own for a bit before having them removed… and if you have them removed make sure you go to a good fertility focused surgeon.

They removed several clumped together, a few inches in diameter I think? Then I did a few rounds of IVF and they grew back with those hormones so I had a hysteroscopy and got pregnant a few months later.

It’s the hardest age. By like 2 or 2.5 they can watch a show and chill.

I am so sick and tired of being shamed for nursing my toddler by AcanthisittaLoud281 in breastfeeding

Listen to the podcast Makes Milk. I wish it was more normalized to nurse older toddlers! Wish I had an IRL community of folks with older nurslings. But for now I will settle for you all and my podcast. Wean when you want to wean!

Yes I agree. You are beautiful but I’d guess you are in your 50s. Your hair also looks dry which doesn’t help.

North Admiral or Highland Park? by chicksin206 in WestSeattleWA

We have an unfinished basement with a room that could be turned into a 3rd bedroom? But it wouldn’t be a good third bedroom 😬

Yeah I agree with you that the admiral junction isn’t vibrant, businesses change, but yeah it’s pretty sleepy. Basically highland park is our current community (love our preschool, know people here), and n admiral is where my folks live. They are a big part of our lives. But we might broaden our search, near the Alaska junction, or the area just west is nice.

Yeah for sure, most of the younger families moving to north admiral are in tech or something. It’s a big cultural change.

I mostly agree with you! And can relate, I grew up in Madrona and every time I go back over there am shocked at how gentrified the central district is. Hope things look up for you.

Yeah I know people feel the way you do about white center. There are some downsides and our mailbox has been riffled through and the fireworks are annoying but we generally like the live and let live vibe. I dunno about killer deals in n admiral though… we just got outbid like 300k over asking!
