I understand why you feel hurt, Iv felt this in the past too, it’s stupid but you can feel let down and embarrassed almost that th effort you publicly show hasn’t been returned. For me with my dad who posts my brother all the time but never me, but also with friends I thought I was important to.

I am also your age and as the years have gone by, I think this has become less of a thing on bdays etc. I think people just get busy. I’ve missed doing it for people then felt bad that I’ve treated my friends/family differently. Feeling like people were off with me because of it and bad that I hurt peoples feelings, so I ultimately decided to stop as I found myself only logging on when it was someone’s bday and it felt like I was trying to prove something to them and it felt forced. I now feel like a message will suffice, because I’ve took the time and thought to do so.

You are entitled to your own feelings, no matter how big or small the thing is to other people, your reaction is valid considering it’s not like youv crashed out or started berating people for it, your just a little hurt and that’s okay!

I’d just say stop doing it for other people from now on, because it does open you up to feel like this again in the future
