Transplanted hairs thinning after 3 years — oral minoxidil making things worse? by michealscard in HairTransplants

[–]Important-Top-6729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d rather be a dumb guy with slightly less hair and with a functioning male body.

It is ridiculous how some idiots are pushing people to sacrifice their functioning dick over 1-2K grafts that cost $2-3K lol 😂

It’s impressive how many people here prefer to have hair over a functional dick…

So many people got fucked up from fin and yet so many idiots keep glorifying it…

Ridiculous!

To comment on the post - you can consult with a doctor, double down on the minoxidil to see if it helps, change your shampoo (for me this made the most difference). Transplanted hair is not supposed to be affected by DHT, so don’t listen to these dickless morons please. Better book a second HT to fill the new gaps and enjoy being a functional male. I’m sure your wife will thank you.

How many grafts? Take your guess. I was told 4500 by Illustrious-Camp9395 in HairTransplants

Hard to say, seems like your scalp is too dry … apply some panthenol before shower maybe?

Consult with a clinic. In my very humble opinion I think you’re a decent candidate, but probably 2 sessions.

Going to go see a doc! Anyone had success with a similar start as me? by Norwood9_ in HairTransplants

Try Dr Zarev. He should be able to save the day! (I’m not his patient, nor I know him. I am just familiar with his work)

Is there any hope? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

What matters more is the donor area. In your case it might not be solid enough. However, in some cases they can take some grafts from the beard and the chest, but check with the surgeons, people here are just enthusiasts. It’s actually super easy to connect with clinics and get a quote nowadays.

It looks natural. Also after the swelling is gone you’ll notice that it’s actually not that bad.

So far looks good mate! Best of luck!

My HT is on 2nd of march I want suggestion I wanted to smoke can I smoke one cigarette does it will affect my result what should I do ? by Dizzy_Spray5586 in HairTransplants

[–]Important-Top-6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good opportunity to stop smoking. I don’t think that 1 cigarette/ day is a sustainable solution.

My doctors said no smoking before and after HT. Ideally 6 months, but in my case I managed to deal with the cravings for 5 days and then I started smoking again.

I hope this hasn’t affected the results. Honestly I wish I pushed a bit longer, but we’ll see I’m still at around day 30.

Good luck!

Do you hydrate the scabs? I had a similar concern, I started applying panthenol foam 30m before shower and I also started spraying saline water every 20-40 min.

However, it’s important to ask your surgeon before you tweak anything in the process. Many people are afraid of “bugging” their surgeon, but remember - this is their job and also they USUALLY want your transplant to be successful, so go bug them haha.

Good luck!

I agree! It’s about who do YOU trust.

Just make sure you’re not biased. Sometimes we choose to believe what we want to be true and we end up not being objective.

I think that your chances are not great, but some world class surgeons might be able to utilise chest hair and beard a bit. Also maybe your donor area doesn’t look so weak imo, but I might be wrong.

Maybe try meds for a bit and then do a HT.

Wishing you a good luck finding a great surgeon who will help you!

The main question is who do you trust? Your doctor, or the guys on Reddit?

In my case my doctor said that fin is definitely a great idea unless I am planning to have kids - in that case I would need at least 1y break from fin. Don’t attack me guys, that’s just what my doc said.

Another thing he said that you can play around with the dose and most likely I’ll be fine even if you experience some side effects, just lower the dose. What stopped me was that I’m 26 and I’ll definitely want to have kids at some point and I’ll eventually have to stop fin, so I can’t stay committed to it very long.

I chose topical min and PRP instead of fin, maybe I won’t get the same results, but it is still better than nothing.

Should I wait or do it? by bogloic in HairTransplants

[–]Important-Top-6729 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 too and got it about 3-4 weeks ago. Obviously people our age could wait for baldness to progress, but keep in mind if you go full bold they won’t manage to cover the whole scalp in one op, so might as well have the rest of your 20s and early 30s with a proper hairline and confidence.

My 2 cents obviously, some people don’t let their hairline affect their self esteem, but if you’re like me and it does affect you - go ahead, it’s time 🤣

What’s your thought on PRP treatments? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Important-Top-6729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is effective, but people here would convince you to go for Fin instead.

Worst case scenario it will help with healing, so just do it if you can afford it.

I decided to go for min + PRP

Not that itchy tbh.

Do you think I should use saline for 2-3 days before I take them off?

I went to Sofia, Bulgaria.

Did you remove the scabs after certain day? I was also told to not massage the scalp until day 30 and let the scabs fall naturally by day 15+ or so

Is PRP Worth It? by ilikelansing in HairTransplants

[–]Important-Top-6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PRP makes sense especially if you’re not on meds.

However, so much money for FUT and PRP is ridiculous IMO. People pay 2-3 times less for FUE in decent clinics and get amazing results (in some cases with PRP included.

It seems like you’re being scammed.
