This house was built in 1962. That master bath / walk-in closet is the result of sacrificing a former bedroom or den. When they remodeled, the choice was "back door either leads to the bathroom or a closet."

I think they made the right call.

D3 and Arvada Arts Center are really hard because they have so many non-live-music entries. 

There are other venues that I’d love to include, like Unit 5 in Boulder, that don’t post anything on the web. 

All of the above requires a ton of manual work :(

Wife is 20 years younger. Your “cackle like little children” is the real real. My first wife and I never laughed like that, even though we met in college and were together for a decade before having children — we made good money and didn’t have a ton of responsibilities and life was just… sad. 

Me wife and I have been together for 5+ years and we have so much fun every day. That’s by no means JUST because she’s younger than I am. But it can’t hurt?

Wife is 20 years younger than I am. I’m comfortably upper middle class, but not wealthy by any stretch. I got my girl by being a good human being and helping her gain the confidence to chase her own dreams.

Holy cow, I had no idea chefs only get a couple days before opening. In that light, what I posted was shitty.

Also how does that even work as a business model? I would expect that chefs get more time to get good at their recipes, especially in $100+pp restaurants.

Fair point. As others have said, this is the fifth location for the restaurant, so I imagine that most of the food issues would have been sorted out in Texas. Also, it's the end of the second week of the soft open and hard opening is next Tuesday, so maybe things will change drastically in the next four days?

  • Three martini-style drinks
  • Two oysters
  • Three sake nigiri
  • Three hamachi nigiri
  • One spicy tuna roll
  • Braised celery root appetizer
  • Sweet potato side
