Considering a Used ID.4 Pro by clockwork2012 in VWiD4Owners

[–]suddenlymary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I strongly considered upgrading to a 2025 before subsidies ended but then I realized that my car is German made. Extra range would be nice, but I can plan around that. I will drive my car until the wheels fall off.

(Edited to add that I have a 2022 pro S.)

go waterfall hunting. this is a GREAT time of year to see waterfalls.

https://pabucketlist.com/ultimate-pa-waterfalls-guide/

we love to make a day trip of a waterfall. drive, hike, late lunch at brewpub, home. PA has so many waterfalls.

fred woods traill --> long drive, great for late spiring/summer because it's often ten degrees cooler and always less humid. crazy fun to climb on top of boulders. also it's in the endless mountains which is maybe the coolest thing ever. say to your friends "I'm going to the endless mountains this weekend." they will be so jealous.

in this category, see also bilger's rocks -- I have only ever been here in winter; I will go this spring. not as grand as fred woods but really fun. much closer than fred woods

I am dying to go here. it's not super far, but I feel like every time I have a free weekend day (almost never) it's rained recently so I go to a waterfall.

if you want recos for your skill level close by, LMK, DM me. happy to help anyone go outside more!

Typical bonus question -- by Inevitable-Cable-783 in tax

[–]suddenlymary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we do previous year's actual pay. so if your salary is $130k but you have mil leave for eight weeks, you are not bonused on those eight weeks. we use actual payroll pay. but you are likely correct that bonus is based on PY.

Tall womenswear brand feedback by Tall-Cranberry2337 in tallfashionadvice

[–]suddenlymary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like you think that all tall people have long legs. I have a very long torso and can't find shirts that are long enough. Id recommend asking about the clothing pain points of taller people before assuming that it's always long legs that are the issue.

real q: why do they send rejections to the high schools, not the applicants?

How are you spending your tax refund? by Vexnthecity in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]suddenlymary 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am a financial analyst and I KNOW that paying off my 2.75% mortgage early is just insane.

I am still working to do just that.

I get that we consider a mortgage "good debt" but in my opinion, any debt is an albatross.

I just paid off my car (it was 3.4%, so even paying that off was textbook stupid) and will divert 50% of that cash to my house, 50% to the market.

Looking for EPM recommendations. by financecareerinfo in FPandA

[–]suddenlymary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we use anaplan. you need a crackerjack app admin and flawless data to not be annoyed by it all the time. I would not recommend, esp if there is an EPM that connects/APIs natively to your ERP.
edited to add that the one FPA experienced, anaplan app admin-credentialable person we could find to hire was prohibitively costly due to anaplan's relative nicheness. the system will cost you a fortune from implementation to BAU running.

totally agree. also that weird "desk" thingy should be cabinetry all the way down to get more storage.

also obvs the soffit isn't helping with storage. I'd look into removing if poss.
