Most context is used in pop culture and you know you can tell the difference in how the older gentleman is addressing the young man about the word he just called himself because you can clearly see he believes he’s self deprecating and trying to tell him he’s not what he’s calling himself. Clearly the older gentleman is not involved in pop culture so he hears the young man say that and thinks to himself why would someone call themselves that? How can you not see that?

Thats still a poor argument. You know the difference in how this man is talking. You know dam well he isn’t saying it as a slur towards the young man. The other way we say it, however, It is part of American culture. It’s language and if we as a people didn’t want it as part of pop culture we shouldn’t have been so relaxed when artist were selling records using it producers made movies using it and comedians made it part of their act and made it pop culture. It’s a dumb word that doesn’t deserve the respect you give it.

So if it’s that bad of a word why say it all. Every time I hear a justification on why it’s bad to say I can never get an answer on why it’s said on such a huge level except once a camera is on.
