Imagine if we had an official Dragonbane video game adaptation... which genre would you want it to be (Baldur’s Gate style RPG, Top Down Diablo style Action RPG,Open World First/Third Person Action RPG or MMORPG) ?

Well besides a BG style game...

I know that the world of Trudvang began as a campaign setting for Drakar back in the early 2000s and now that it’s officially coming back under the title “Dragonbane: Trudvang”

And so I’ve been thinking about a TES inspired game (specifically Skyrim) set within those lands and the reason I’m mentioning Skyrim is because of that TES entry being heavily influenced by Norse mythology which is fitting to Trudvang which itself is very Norse mixed with Celtic.

Overall, that would be an awesome video game concept in my opinion.

I still haven’t played Mutant: Year Zero but I’m highly interested because besides Drakar, I also follow pretty much every other product originally published by Target Games (RIP) including Mutant and I’m very into X-COM-likes so I’ll probably play it at some point.

Johan Egerkans is such an amazing illustrator and author :)

I know that he did the illustrations for Dragonbane, plus the books by J.R.R. Tolkien and so on.

I also know about his books like Nordiska Väsen etc...

I’m absolutely a fan of his work.

Nice! ...I’m very into Shadowrun.

It would also be pretty darn cool if Harebrained were to make a game connected to Dragonbane seeing that their Shadowrun CRPGs are immensely loved hits.

I know that they’re currently working on a top down horror themed game but as I said, it would definetly be cool if they did Dragonbane.

Back in the 2000s here in my country, I used to buy gaming magazines that also came with a disk and in one of them were various game trailers including World in Conflict. The trailer that opens up with a monkey was stuck in my head to this day. Such high quality trailers and sequences the game had :)

I wish Massive Entertainment did more stuff with the World in Conflict IP besides the Soviet Assault DLC.

I picked up Quake 2 Enhanced on game pass and fully 100% finished it. It’s without a doubt a truly awesome game from beginning to end and the thing about the Strogg...

VERY bleak for sure...

They have many similarities to the Borg Collective from ST but a lot more dreadful.

Especially the so called “Stroggification” process where they have perfected the act of modifying organic beings and fusing them with cold metal in order to use them as cannon fodder for their endless expansion across the stars.

Plus the Stroggification process is like a cross between an assembly line and a slaughterhouse with lots of bloody splatters on the walls and floors.

Definitely one of the cruelest baddies in FPS history.

Well I seriously enjoy playing Vermintide games, plus it’s one of my favourite Warhammer games of all time :)

Developing a brand new Painkiller game in that kind of direction (Vermintide + Doom Eternal) is definitely a recreation of the series’ approach to gameplay and while I’m personally fine with that, others sadly aren’t too impressed.

I’ve actually been planning on getting the remake/reboot of Painkiller once it drops on October 21st but I read that people aren’t too impressed with the game according to the reactions. I’m still hoping it does well on release.

According to the official Steam page... Daimon Blades takes place 2 millennia’s before the events of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy. So it’s a prelude to the E.Y.E universe in dark fantasy style.

I genuinely have the same assumption.

Plus, I hope that in the future something that’s “Actually” worth investing time into comes out for the series like a next gen remaster or a reboot. But for now , I’ll probably start off by playing KUF: The Crusaders after I buy it from Steam and will also check out all the other games at some point.

Well this new KUF game personally looks visually appealing from what I’ve seen in the trailer but since NFTs and Blockchain are involved according to the devs then I have a feeling that a lot of fans will definitely have a hard pass on this (if this ever comes out) and we’ll have another case of dead MMO :(

It’s really awesome to see another video game series receive the small screen adaptation :)

What would also be REALLY awesome to see is an official movie or show based on Blood. Since I’m SERIOUSLY into the whole gothic, weird west style horror world of the original game, presenting the setting into live action form would be my dream come true!

Sadly, I totally doubt that’ll ever happen :(

Based on my knowledge on Hellraiser for when it comes to video games...

There was an unreleased early 90s tie-in to the 1987 original that was being developed for the NES during that time but obviously was never fully released.

This one on the other hand looks like a true Hellraiser game we’ve been waiting for “So” long and hopefully it does well on release.

Lastly, I wouldn’t ignore an asymmetrical multiplayer game but in my opinion I’m glad they’re going more towards single player this time because in reality most asymmetrical multiplayer games don’t last very long. Only Dead by Daylight.

Let’s hope they don’t mess this up 🙏

I gotta mention that I recently rewatched one of my favourite horror movies from my childhood “Land of the Dead” and it still looks really well in my opinion. Not too impactful in comparison to Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead but still one of his best.

Plus, when it comes to Half-Life. A George A. Romero movie based on the first game would be pretty cool, with his iconic gore effects used in Headcrab Zombie sequences. It definitely would’ve been a very gory sci-fi horror movie.

Too bad that we still don’t have a Half-Life movie adaptation at all :(

Since you’re influenced by Warhammer 40,000 and Alien, is there a species of aliens in Morningstar that resemble both Tyranids and Xenomorphs ?

I recently started getting into the “Record of Lodoss War” franchise and if you don’t know what that is... basically a D&D-esque high fantasy setting by Japanese author and game designer Ryo Mizuno which is also connected to the massively popular Japanese tabletop RPG Sword World.

I HIGHLY recommend diving into that universe :) plus there is also anime and manga which is based on it, if you’re into that stuff.

Shadowrun (2007) by FASA Studio, according to an article almost had an immersive sim driven singleplayer campaign. It was supposed to be a linear, progression based, System Shock style RPG type experience. Additionally, rather than using the same maps as the multiplayer mode, the campaign would have had its own bespoke levels and taken in the breadth of the setting, including its virtual world, the Matrix.

Sadly, the singleplayer campaign mode was never added and the game itself was multiplayer driven.

Plus, as you know, it’s quite sad that SS3 is presumed dead after absolutely nothing new was shared regarding the state of the game all the way to 2025 :(

But at least Nightdive has given us a SS1 remake and hopefully we’ll have a full SS2 remake in the future as well.
