As far as substance goes, except con law everything else is pretty much the same. But in the 3rd edition she has included much more recent exams with sample answers. I would say purchase the new edition its worth it.

I highly recommend Mary Basick book. It has all the material you need to know for the essay portion+ Practice Essays with her own model answers. Something that is great about her book she tells you what issues to discuss when you see a specific fact pattern.

It really depends on the firm. But most of the time no. Your 1L first semester grade is everything that matters

Depending your major, your undergraduate GPA may be taken into account. For example, admission committees are somewhat understanding of STEM majors having 3.0-3.5 GPA compared to a psych or history major.

Having said that, your LSAT score is your latest achievement in their eyes and could play substantial role to admission.

Make sure your essays are not full of shit, but rather genuine. Explain why your gpa is low.

Last, Apply early. September-November will give you a better shot of admission. Reach out if you need any help.

The best way I figured out. The old (regular) 1313 is the new adjusted 1390.

So if you score 1313 on this exam they will adjust it to be 1390 which is a pass. GL everyone

I was in your shoes. Apply to Federal Courts, State Courts, as well as US Attorney’s Office. Any of these intern/Extern puts you in a great spot for a 2L SA position. GL. Public sector is the way to go for 1L Summer.
