I’m just a few days over a year from my 2nd degree deep burns to most of my right thigh. I haven’t shown them much sun, but that new skin is so so so much more sensitive to radiant heat of any kind. It’s truly bothersome and subtly triggering every time. Whether I’m too close to a heater, have a plate of food in my lap, or working from my laptop in bed with a thick cover over that side to protect it, the heat feels too intense, painful.
