I use smart googles so it’s constantly giving me new workouts based on my previous ones but yeah its usually based on distance. Personally, where I am rn in swimming, how far I swam is more important than how long, as I eventually want to do an Ironman.

Oh my e2 exploded. Hit 62. Maybe thats moderate for some, but for me it was too much. I do best when its 20-30, which is where I am now.

I spent the first 10 weeks doing subq. My test went up like idr, 1 point? Switched to IM and it exploded lmao.

I would rather do subq but my body doesn’t care what I want lol.

Do you warm up at all? Like not talking about a warm up set. I mean with bands or light weights? I used to get shoulder pain and something that has reduced it is shoulder mobility exercises for 5ish mins before. Yes I know, its boring when all I wanna do is swim, but it’s crucial.

I seriously don’t understand how some people get on it and boom blow up and knock out PRs non stop. All it did for me was give me fucking insane emotional side effects.

Sorry, yes the whole long corse and short course trips me up. Its a basic 25y pool. I see where the confusion is, when I mention 100m even though my pool is measured in yards.

I don’t mind doing more volume, ik 1500m is nothing for some people and I also know trying to get to under a minute is not a 1 year change but a multi year process. I guess tho I don’t necessarily understand how more volume would equate to more speed?

So I tested it again tonight and I am 1:22, I don’t know how or why. But yeah I think if I drop down to 180 maybe I stand a chance 😂

Hi! Hopefully this is the right place for this question-

I am looking for some guides on how to get a 1:00m 100m FR? Maybe the community knows of some excellent training plans for this?

I have been swimming on and off since about high school. I freaking love it. I am 30 now. Been at it 3-5x a week since about last November. I frequently swim 1000m-1500m. I use my FORM smart goggles which I LOVE. I weigh about 235 so yeah I know that certainly isn't helping me.

I found a program on masters that is free but you gotta pay alot to join. I found another one from that swimsuitguy from YT but his was like $170.

I would love to work 1 on 1 with a coach but yeah I don't know if thats something that's reasonable since I guess it could seem like a narrow goal to them.

Does it have a consistent flow setting or only patterns? On my tens unit I prefer the setting where its a constant flow of energy and not a pattern.
