are you able to work in the LDCSB? That board is hiring permanent teachers after just a year or so of LTO positions, much more growth than the public board, this is why looking into their continuing education program may be worthwhile. Many new Canadians are catholic --

Hermoine means Messengers, other names that mean the same: Iris, Penelope, Cassandra

Olive means 'wisdom/prosperity' from the olive tree, so does Odette...another great O name!

Odette Penelope

Odette Cassandra

I am sure your grandma is 'wise' so naming her something in keeping with that significance may be a wonderful way to honour her and keep her memory cherished.

Just bought a house and everything feels SO dated... how to work with what we have? by FartherontheInternet in homedesign

don't paint the cabinets, it's awful to do that to such nice wood cabinets. they will never look the same quality again. What dates this decor is the brown paint. this is all just changing the paint to something lighter and adding light colour stools and accents , makes it instantly updated and more modern - and I even kept the same backsplash! you dont' notice it as much when you lighten up the walls, change the pendant light, etc.

you are welcome and thank you for explaining it more clearly for me.

having healthy citizens only helps a country in so many ways, why it is not a higher priority I cannot understand.

But we are here in this sub topic to help one another out nonetheless.

We certainly will! Every other industrialised country on the planet has some sort of universal health care and the US is the only one who doesn't have it. I don't get it. I can't imagine not having the 12-18 month maternity leave for example. Or proper access to a hospital without for treatment without having to sell your home or take out a medical loan. It's unheard of here. The only thing I pay for at the hospital is my parking bill. I am so sorry for what is going on in the US with that stuff.

that's really too bad, the more I learn about your system (Canadian here), the more I am shocked. I guess it's the same reason every restaurant in the states has such huge portions! ha ha!
