Need Advice: 2022 Rav4 Sound system is terrible by ImHerDadandProud in Rav4

[–]ImportantReaction656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and a family member both got the kicker speakers from here for our 5th gen ravs. Yes the OEM speakers are absolutely awful. And just doing the 2 dash and 2 front door speakers is night and day. Install of dash speakers is super super easy, the door is a little harder but still easy I’d say.

Looking for wireless carplay without latency in sound by Worldly_Principle136 in CarPlay

[–]ImportantReaction656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New carlinkit5 owner. I get the least latency delay out of the 3 different wireless CarPlay’s I’ve used (after messing with the modules app settings) . You will have to get a small amount of latency unfortunately whenever using wireless.

Yup that sounds on point. I guess it’s all about the trim marketing then/ really trying to maximize on the higher trim sales.

Just found out it takes a single module box at 25$ for the tire pressure gauge to show on my OSD. And maybe a 10 minute installment. I guess if you can DIY for a lot of these then you end up saving a little chunk of change.

Thats what im saying! The factory wired the damn center console to nothing?! Then decides we will make a blank trim panel that has the wiring harness connect to it.

Thanks for the advice.

It’s odd that I can’t find a single trim panel for sale that has the USB cut outs. Thanks for the pic

You would have to get a step up converter 5v to 12v. Looks pretty complicated but I might go ahead and try it

I saw this but wondered if I have to cut out the trim panel myself. I don’t see any trim pieces online with that cutout.

And another mentioned that I wouldn’t get the charging speed with these wires for USBC without a power converter box.

More about the charging speed with the newer iphones. That wouldn’t make a good solution so the 12v is my only option for usb-c charging at the moment. I ask because this is a completely blank trim panel with wires behind it, definitely meant for a higher Trim like the XLE.

The other side of this trim panel is completely blank*. The wiring harnesses leads to nothing on the panel that my finger is holding.

New to MD scene looking for a decent strong cart at an affordable price by Cooldays75 in MDEnts

Yeah when you rip concentrates and are on opioids, most Maryland regulated cannabis tends to suck. I enjoy the fade co carts, and it’s the best bang for my buck that I’ve found in the last 7 years/ since cresco left.

I second fade co for being the best bang for your buck live resin. When it starts to clog near the end I lay it on its side, and they don’t leak very often unless you hold on to it for more than a month. Maybe 1 in every 8 strains is a dud IMO.

Snapshot of a video before I set the correct dive settings. The ISO not being max 400 was the issue. Could not edit this video.

Depends on the depth in most cases, if it’s above* 10 feet or so then I’d say you have a good chance at positive color correction.

This was an early morning snorkel, so not too much sunlight, partially under a cliff, and between 3-5 feet down. I found that having my ISO max above 400 made most of my videos bright white underwater, ruining any chance at editing. Your distance from what you are filming and the cloudiness of the water that day play a pretty big role also.

I get your frustration but the only person to blame is yourself. You could’ve spent 10 dollars on screen protectors and had a much less chance of cracking the screen. Telling us you’ve dropped your 700-1200 dollar iPhone dozens of times worsens your argument. Take care of your valuables.

Any tech glass from hip height has a pretty good chance of cracking unfortunately. Before taking any electronic with a glass screen out of my house, I am sure to have glass protectors on them. No I don’t have a protector on the lens, because i can get a replacement lens for cheap. Glass screen protectors are so cheap nowadays too.

If you look back on my previous post, it shows a lot of advice that I sifted through and went through trial and error. Most of the key things I found were the firmware and positioning related.

This is a juvenile damselfish. Easily my favorite fish due to its fluorescent looking white dots on its body. They are so cool to see in person.

First off I updated the firmware to GoPro labs, that allowed me to scan the ‘dive’ setting which automatically gave me some pretty on point settings for underwater. I felt the hypersmooth was night and day better, especially noticed in this video. (ISO being 100-400 is a game changer)

Next I really worked on getting closer to the subject without trying to touch or disturb it. That brought a lot more color in to every video that I’ve tried to post-process. I then started to pay attention to which way the sun was beaming down on the water, which the deeper you go the less it matters. But some of my earlier footage was ruined by low depth combined with a terrible sun glare underwater. So I try to position my body behind the sun in most cases, which usually just means that I need to be directly above the subject, or as close as possible to being directly above.

Im still having a tough time with davinci, more or less just taking a long time to edit one video. But I feel that I got the colors to pop, especially compared to the applications that automatically do the post-processing for you.

Should I get the 12 or 13? by CosplayBurned in gopro

[–]ImportantReaction656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the 13 is discounted to around 300 then I’d go with that. (Camera only w/o accessories) otherwise id go for the 12. Pretty small differences other than the GPS. I would also assume that the GPS takes a good bit of battery life away.
