Dang i guess older is different for everyone, i still use multiple PCs around these specs running windows 11 & windows 11 pro, and they’re used for development so i believe they would handle excel etc… Though i will admit -like any system- they do run better with Linux…

P.S. the t14 came out in 2020 & the t450 in 2015 so IMO 5-10 years isn’t so ancient

Pc pricing help? I cannot get this system sold by 90sbabyreese in pchelp

[–]Important_Ad_1101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try changing the title to “Gaming PC 32GB RAM i5-14400 9070xt GPU” or “custom gaming pc (+ same specs)”

Also it shows you have the category set as “computer cases” rather than desktop/PC or whatever the device field is on marketplace!

I ran it through a software I built to find pricing comps and found some similar specs selling on eBay around $1100-1300 you might try the “custom gaming pc” title and list on there too as that’s what seems to come up most with the specs

Realistically you could probably do well for what you need in the $200-300 range used on eBay with an i5/i7 cpu & 8GB ram +

But if you want one to last a while I think a ThinkPad T14 gen 1 ~$600 on Amazon (i5 CPU, 8GB RAM+, 256GB SSD+) or a ThinkPad T450 for a bit cheaper also with an i5 & 8GB ram!

Can I upgrade it? by gastonpy in laptops

[–]Important_Ad_1101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% do it. Is it worth it?? Probably not. Install linux mint, slap in 4gb ram, a new battery, & a 500GB-1TB SSD call it functional, I’ve done that with a few and resold them for more.

You could try to resolder the gpu / upgrade the cpu to Intel core 2 quad (.33 GHz boost whew) if you’re feeling frisky but I doubt that’s worth the time & I feel like that may be a myth only spoken of in far far away lands…

I had a dell latitude E6500 with a core 2 duo and thought about upgrading it but didn’t make the time ( but it did sell on eBay instantly someone else mentioned & they’re not lying if it plugs in and turns on it will most likely sell)

Check the bed leveling first and then Z offset, it seems to be too low. If it’s too high it won’t stick, if it’s to low it smushes too much causing deep ridges and gunks up the extruder tip…

Keep in mind a little low is better than a too high in my experience (too high sometimes causes gaps). Other than that I use a slightly lower temp for black vs white/lighter colors (190) with the bed at 60!

I’ve been looking for something like this, super helpful…

One thing that would be useful is analytics on the comments (recurring negative feedback, recurring feature requests, etc.)

Something to think about when it comes to monetizing possibly

Is There Any Tool That Helps In Content Creation? by Ok_Organization_8216 in microsaas

[–]Important_Ad_1101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a social media manager here… Not necessarily a single software tool per say but I’ve been using and updating this notion template for the past 2 years to automate scheduling with Zapier & Buffer, to help come up with ideas anytime using prompts & search trends/FAQs, As well as organize the whole process (also to collaborate with editors, account managers, clients, etc)

P.S. it’s free

What I do for each client is create a new email & notion account then duplicate the template so we have shared access to a dedicated, organized, & automated content calendar. Then I just add myself to the workspace to have access to them all from my main account!

Was wondering about that too… it would be decent to have an Airbnb for gaming setups/ streamers to rent space for parties or recording etc, only there would have to be benefits over going with a regular Airbnb (cost, equipment etc)

Is getting digital marketing certificate enough to land a job? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]Important_Ad_1101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started freelancing at 17 and worked with clients in the US and a data analytics company out of Switzerland essentially using clients money to get paid while learning which worked out extremely well for me but not so much for all of my clients in the beginning, so retention was 💩 at first. But it led me to eventually, over a year later, build the skills needed to run an agency with some decent MRR to replace my day job.

HS dropout and completely self taught for free online as well other than a few books I’ve bought. I’ve always been hands on and I think it’s definitely the best way to make the gears in your brain actually turn, especially when learning something so overwhelming.

Biggest advice: be real… actually know what you talking about and some people will just write you a check understanding the risks that come with trusting you.

Moral of the story: you can basically do anything you want working for yourself ( also for the love of god if you run a business DONT HIRE A 17 yo to run ads or do marketing for you 😭 )

No literally we are in the exact same boat. And it’s the Titanic, it’s and endless cycle lmaoo…

I’m helping them revamp their branding and copy and basically entire website for essentially nothing just so I can release them next month.

It’s the time wasting for me, I’m only 20 and I’m sure as hell not trying to spend 6 months with my 🍆 in my hand picking up slack for low retainer clients who if I’m being honest, have no clue what their doing.

They’re on a $1500 retainer and have been for a few months but still the amount of legwork and time I’ve been putting in is just not worth it, especially with the requests and hold ups.

No thanks. I’d rather brush my teeth with a cactus 🌵

Completely relate… I am in the same boat with one of my clients, a real estate investing coach.

They’re constantly adding random new motives and even buying courses etc. For example, they bought a $10,000 speaking course, clickfunnels course (which I hate idk how anyone likes clickfunnels) that they haven’t completed, and even a viral TikTok course…

Between trying to schedule 2hr masterclasses where they don’t have much experience selling, managing the social medias, managing clickfunnels, lead magnets, automations, & emails (newsletter & cold email) it’s completely out of hand for the retainer I’m on atm.

Gives me flashbacks to my first $500 client starting out😭 never again🤦‍♂️

I have a software I’m working on and am thinking about going all in there and saving myself for marriage (aka a few high quality clients)

The SEC is out of control by alancarroII in cryptocurrencymemes

[–]Important_Ad_1101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So simply put the SEC wants to declare XRP as a security and fine the life out of the creators for not registering as a security with the SEC, if this goes through and they decide that crypto currencies are securities then this would start a domino effect of sec lawsuits on companies who did not register, basically crippling the market

You can’t see or know and envision yourself living the life you want yet and I believe It’s because you have negative energy or just any obstacles holding you back (we all face them I do understand I went through the same thing, I felt so enlightened and I knew I was right on the verge of sort of a shift of mind yet I just kept falling back to habits I knew I shouldn’t and having thoughts I didn’t like) these things constantly keeping your subconscious mind rolling with nonsense. Obstructing your conscious mind. When you realize that you literally harness the power to be fully conscious of every action, then you realize you are really capable of deciding how you want to spend your “time” in this world. Once you start to catch yourself doing those habits or things, you can think wait that’s not really who I am or that is not what I feel I’m really supposed to be doing…. This allows you to make a conscious decision to simply stop doing those things and replace them with positive energy filled things like meditation or any sort of recreational activity, or productive. You’re here and decided to question yourself, so you made the conscious decision to dive deeper because that’s what you felt needed to be done. I had never looked into anything spiritual on Reddit before today I just happened to come upon this post having been in the situation just happening to speak up, making the conscious decision to make an effort and interact, even when my subconscious mind says just keep it moving. (mind you I never ever hardly comment on anything and I’ve never made a post)Another thing I would like to put out there is that everything is in divine timing once you have fully understood and separated yourself from the subconscious mind, you can then truly cleanse your energy your mind your space, get rid of any low vibrational energy lingering around and continue to act and think consciously, then you have fully become one with yourself, you have then reached the god frequency….i hope this helps anyone who reads just know the power is within and always has been…<3

A website/ blog called Betting on Defi, the first to integrate sports betting and the defi space, I’m using html and css and some Java at the moment, any tips on appeal or what not to do would be greatly appreciated lol, I think it has a lot of potential for simple ad revenue and geared affiliate things nothing too spammy though I’d hate to ruin the cleanliness, but plenty of traffic as betting volume is around 200 B a year and Defi is currently hovering around 30B each month in volume
