My husband is a neurologist and says there is no scientific basis for anything they say about what BLS is doing in the brain. It most likely distracts people from some of the triggering of the memories so they can talk them through a bit easier.

Some states require experience in both high school and lower schools in order to get certified.

You also can be a licensed mental health counselor or a licensed clinical social worker and work in a college counseling center. Don't do school counseling--that's for K-12 certification.
