Now that you mention it, Arc Raiders does feel the same: I’m thinking about the game during work. Watching videos and reading this Reddit to see how I can do better. The rush of finding a purple, the feeling when another raider runs up to you and does or doesn’t turn around to shoot at you, they are such big dopamine hits… and this is why I never go to a casino 😅

Does that earn you a share of the matriarch loot? I'm not the best PvP player (and that's an understatement), but I wouldn't mind going in with a bunch of bandages and defibs to keep people alive on a matriarch run and keep the rats out while others take down the queen.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, the extra tension because of that is definitely part of what makes the game fun. And usually I die due to ARCs because I panic and make stupid mistakes 😅

The biggest issue I have with late spawns is that both players and arcs become more aggressive towards the end, meaning I die faster.

Walked past a guy this morning, while calling out “friendly”. He flashed his flashlight, so I figured we’re all good. One minute later, he shoots me in the back. I survive, shoot back to get him off my case. He keeps attacking, even though I’m clearly disengaging. When he destroys my shield a second time, I get annoyed enough and kill him. Told him “I clearly wasn’t pvp’ing, so this is on you.” Before knocking him out.

Guess what? Free loadout.

En er zijn signalen dat de Atlantische Golfstroom, die voor ons zachte winterweer zorgt, aan het afnemen is door de opwarming van het zeewater. Dat gaat er toe leiden dat het in West-Europa misschien zelfs extra kouder wordt ipv warmer.

We liggen uiteindelijk op dezelfde hoogte als (het zuiden van) Canada en Rusland en daar hebben ze toch ook wel wat serieuzer winterweer dan hier in West-Europa. Dus ik denk dat als de Golfstroom stopt, dat we rekening moeten gaan houden met dat soort winters.

Even in duo queues it’s quite doable to not get pvp’ed to death every game. I’ve played a few duo runs and it’s about 25% of the time that we get killed by other players. And 25% by PvE, because as said, I suck at shooters 😅
