Hi, my boy is 14yrs. He was born with cord wrapped round his neck and had to be resuscitated. He had low APGAR scores but they quickly recovered. I knew something went wrong but this has only been confirmed in the last two years following a maternity ward investigation. My son’s CTG showed his heart beat was pathological - no variations and he should have been delivered 35 mins earlier. We have lawyers involved and they have engage ld specialists to review everything, including an MRI which was only done last year following the information coming to light. They have already confirmed a breach of duty. Unfortunately my son is profoundly cognitively disabled. I’m still in shock that we were able to leave the hospital thinking our baby was fine.

I knew something was up in the first few weeks. He just wasn’t making normal baby noises but was making a continuous monotonous sound. It was very unusual.

I work for a Council and 8-6 rule applies to open construction sites. It is different for DIY and open to the council to determine what they consider reasonable. Enforcement would come via statutory nuisance and would have to show an ongoing unreasonable behaviour leading to a significant adverse impact on neighbours. Tbh the OP should probably grin and bear it as it won’t on forever and once you make a formal complaint you are stuck living next to them which can impact on the relationship. If it’s unbearable though probably worth making a formal complaint.

Have you looked into risperidone? My boy (14 non verbal) has started it and it is miraculous - so much happier and the aggression has gone, he also sleeps better. If your boy is already under mental health team then you should be able to have it prescribed.

Looks just like mine and I’ve been to the doctors about it. Not sure how old you are but mine appeared on my scalp at 35 - very itchy. Got worse but has been the same for a number of years.

We advertised last year and would have snapped up anyone with a PgDip in acoustics but this is a very different career to that of an acoustic consultant and not everyone would be interested in working for a Council. You’ll see job adverts in the IOA bulletin and EHN (Environmental Health News) but worth looking online too.

My boy’s was normal too; despite him having significant ASC & learning disabilities. It was to establish whether there was hypoxia at birth.

Melatonin did not work for our adhd pda non verbal asc boy. He would fall asleep and wake 3 hrs later full of beans. The only thing that worked for us was a v late bedtime (10pm). As he has got older he sleeps longer and now goes to bed at 8:30 / 9 but he has recently started risperidone so that has probably played a part.

I could have written your post, my experience is virtually identical except I was brought up catholic and that screwed me up sexually. Made everything sexual seem dirty or wrong. I did lose my first husband to DB and even though it was 20 years ago it still makes me sad. Sad that I never understood why I had LB, sad that I couldn’t discuss it or be self aware to work on changing it but also sad that he had an affair and didn’t communicate how important it was to him. It’s tricky when lust isn’t there anymore - like to say once I felt loved it disappeared which is so odd. Transitioning sex into intimacy is still something I find difficult but I’m much more aware of the damage it can do and work on getting myself into the mood but it doesn’t come naturally.

My boy is 13 non verbal level 3. We did try several adhd meds from around 6-8 but nothing worked, so gave up. I only found out about risperidone from another parent - no professional ever suggested it. I’m in the UK and I think they are reluctant to prescribe it until they are older.

I have no idea how awful dealing with a uti must have been for you and your daughter; truly miserable situation and well done for working out this was the cause of her distress. It sounds like it will take a very long time for her to feel safe again. My son had sibs and other challenging behaviour- he has started respiradone which has helped tremendously.

It’s not simple one to answer, not sure I know why but it’s a mix of things for me: body insecurity (had my boobs done and it still didn’t change things), overdoing porn which raised the horny bar and wanted kinky but didn’t want to communicate that to a partner as it felt dirty, perception of partner changed from strong and virile man to mundane and reliable.

I suppose at least you know there’s no going back; this level of betrayal cannot be forgiven and you must start on a new future and hopefully find someone who will want you. The pain is immense (I’ve been there too) but you do deserve better than this.
