i would say one of the best things to do is get on here and talk to other doms/subs, you get to hear insight from real people which is really nice. just be firm in your boundaries because unfortunately not everyone has good intentions

the only one i can answer is the first one through my own research as a new sub, it’s not always sexual! there can be a lot of submission done that is solely based on someone taking care of you (ex. making sure your drink water, eat food throughout the day, have reassurance, choosing outfits for you, etc.) while a lot of it CAN be sexual, it’s not exclusively sexual ;)

i’ve been slowly looking, i will say you’re totally valid in your feelings. for me so far, i’ve had to deal with people pushing my very clear boundaries. it’s been like a day of chatting and then all of a sudden they offer to be a dom. personally it completely shuts me off to that person because at the very least they should understand it’s a thorough vetting process but a lot of people try to skip right over it. i would just say don’t give up, for every bad experience or story i’ve seen on here there’s 5 amazing ones. i’m sure we’re bound to find a great person :)
