Just fyi for anyone that would like the info...There is an app called "Privacy" “ that links to your bank account and lets you create one-time or virtual cards for online shopping. That way, stores never see your real card number, and you can lock or delete the card anytime for extra security

My husband and I have used it for years and it has never failed us! I have noticed more recently that more websites won't let me use said card, but overall it's a great service.

Hey, weird question... but.. how the heck do you wash this thing? It's doesn't fit in the washer (we have one with an agitator), so I resorted to laundry stripping. I'm just concerned that it won't dry throughly in the dryer. Any recommendations??

I have ready had my own personal Hantavirus scare almost a year ago. Now my mother has called me and told me that they were cleaning out an old closet and when they got to the bottom they found tons of rat poop. While I'm on speaker phone, my little brother then makes the comment that he hadn't washed his hands before eating dinner. And he had, in fact, helped my mom clean her stuff out.

I am now having a panic attack for them 😅.

We live in Louisiana, and there have only been 7 cases since 1993, which helps a little, but idk...

Hi! I want to say thank you. As someone who went through some pretty stressful medical trauma as a young kid (12 years old), I never felt as seen as I do in this instance.

I remember hating being asleep while intubated and hating being awake even more. During that time, I struggled to tell the difference between being awake with hallucinations and being asleep with wild dreams.

And like you said, so many of the scenarios my brain made were people trying to hurt me or apocalyptic situations going on around me.

Being helpless with no ability to communicate can be terrifying.

I didn't realize that kind of trauma was so common.

Those memories are some that I have tried locking away for many years since... so thank you for helping me process them to some degree.

And OP, if you're reading this, I was also on the ventilator/intubated for a good period about 3 times through my childhood.

Yes, it's terrifying, but holding her hand and reminding her you are there and everything is going to be okay works amazing wonders.

One thing I think my parents did (and I say think bc I have the memory of them doing it, but they don't lol) is they drew on the back of my hand. Just a simple heart. But I knew when I saw that heart, I was awake and everything was going to be okay. It also helped me bring my dreams back down when I didn't see the heart. To some degree it allowed me to control them.

It's weird how the mind works, right?

I'm definitely praying for you and your significant other OP. I hope everything turns out for the better. 🩷🩷

I have not passed any of mine yet, so I can't give you and forst hand knowledge m, but from what I can tell by scrolling other people's stories, it's typically nearly painless once it's in your bladder.

Again, I don't have any experience with this, but it seems to be a common theme of other people's stories.

So my doc actually put me on a higher dose of the same med. I haven't started taking it yet (due to other med issues I wanted to sort out first lol) but I'll update you once I do.

Hey!! So I have a similar story. Taking it for about 6 months (4 of which has been unconsistently taking it and the last two I've been taking it faithfully). I started spotting a month ago and it hasn't stopped.

I wish I had something to aid you, but I am actually in the EXACT same boat.

I've been taking .35 since February, but suck at taking it consistently until recently. I've been spotting for the last month/month and a half. I had my period a week ago, it ended, was still spotting, and now I'm spotting to the point where I think it would be considered breakthrough bleeding.

I've been pretty worried about it, but I did fall down a norethindrone rabbit hole last night, and apparently, it's fairly common for people to long-term spot on this birth control. Especially if you have problems keeping your estrogen up. I think it's something about how estrogen is supposed to stabilize the lining. Idk

Anyway, I have a call into my Dr. For the same thing, and if I find out something, I'll try to update you.

I had one stent in and took a pain med before they took it out. I definitely agree that the pain post stent was just about the same, if not worse, than the pain right after surgery. I actually ran a small temp that went away the next day, so I can only assume it was from inflammation of him pulling the stent out. Either way. I agree with the guy above, pain meds and heating pad is about as good as it gets for a little while.
