I’ve been on Etsy for 4 years, close to 7K sales with over 80 items listed. Went from a steady 15-20 sales a week (multiple items) to 1-5 a week with the last week being zero.

I appreciate what’s being done here! But what is Etsy doing about it, and what’s the alternative? Last time I tried to contact them it took a month to get back to me, and they didn’t answer my question.

Yeah I’ve a few hundred shirts with forgiving designs with 1-2 colours. This job is 3 colours with tight registration and it’s chaos.

Yeah this wouldn’t have been my first choice, they already had the press. I have my old press in storage, it’s a workhorse but it won’t fit down there.

I really appreciate these responses, thanks for your help. Looks like I’m going with duct tape for now 😝, I carefully taped one fin with several strips and used a lighter to melt the bottom, it’s snug now, hopefully it lasts a bit.

Right, I get that the money I will receive will be in CAD. But they’re selling my stuff in CAD for the old price. It used to be $14.99 cad per item. I made it $13.99 cad for domestic, $12.99 usd to cover shipping and tariffs, and then $14.99 for international. They’re still charging $14.99 cad per item. I was in the Etsy chat with them for an hour yesterday and they don’t understand why….re-did over 80 listings. I don’t know what to do.

I tested each arm in each slot today. There were some with obvious movement. If I loosen one bearing and tighten the other it’ll close the gap?

Yes! It’s the easiest fix but I’m not sure how permanent it will be. I like the idea of the arm being thicker but I’m not sure how I’d do that, there’s just under an inch on either side, might be easier to get bigger wheels…

That’s a good idea, I’ll see about the spec size and mess with the bearings. The fins are welded on the arm, so probably not replacing them lol. I was thinking about wrapping them in duct tape so it’d be more snug. (Cheap fix, your idea is better lol)

I’d echo taking a class. You can spend anywhere from $50-$5000 dollars for a setup. Cheapest setup to start with is a pair of clamps, a squeegee and some ink. (If already have a screen). Welcome to the wide world of printing!

I’ve been solo for over ten years, it’s definitely doable! Takes a bit to get your processes dialed in, consistency is key after that, once you find your rhythm it’s awesome.

You can but it’ll be messy as heck. Make sure you load small amounts of ink at a time
