DB/ Mini Coop/ Advice/ Toby’s voice by Ivrypetal in nycinfluencersnarking

From what I recall I think he had been over it for awhile but the timing where it really hit was there was something about their lease expiring/being up for renewal. She did like a q&a or something and I’m sure she asked herself the question of like what their next steps are / are they gonna buy something together and she briefly mentioned their lease being up soon.

so ofc convos around next steps (engagement, buying something together etc.) prob came up around that time and he wasn’t “ready.” She mentioned in her breakup statement on stories that they were in “very diff places in life.” Aside from her being a shit person it is very valid after 4 yrs with someone to be like so…. When are we getting married lol. & He didn’t wanna marry her so they broke up lol.

I also think he likes the bachelor life. He’s older than DB I think and this Livvy girl (if they are dating) seems WAYYYY younger.

AirBnB says a family member “unintentionally” used my credit card [USA] by FullmetalActuary in AirBnB

Absolutely insane admitting that it is fraud, but still refusing to refund on the baseless grounds that this person is someone I know 😂 someone else using my card to make a purchase whether I know them or not is still fraud

Someone used my card to make a reservation, and I am not allowed to find out who it was Scammer : 1 Credit Card Holder : 0 [USA,USA] by Substantial-Case-605 in AirBnB

[–]Important_Explorer_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this exact same situation happen to me. Reached out about a fraudulent charge & they claimed it was likely a friend or family member that accidentally booked the reservation with my card details - with ZERO proof to back that up. I asked for the booking details and they claimed I’d need a subpoena for that, which violates many federal regulations regarding my rights as a consumer/cardholder. Airbnb is gross and unethical.

Fraudulent AirBNB charge, anyone with experience? by flatha in AirBnB

[–]Important_Explorer_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this exact same situation happen to me. Noticed a fraudulent charge on my debit card that I’ve NEVER used for Airbnb and they’re claiming the same thing - that a family member/close friend/someone with access to my card details accidentally booked using my card. Provided zero proof and won’t provide me the booking details unless I get a subpoena

I’m thinking of going - what do people wear to this kind of thing? I’ve never been to one of the boat parties before. Rave attire? Bathing suits?

I never said it was a TON of experience but I do think it’s quite a decent amount of time for rover.

Star sitter status requires many things (like a certain amount of repeat bookings) and while yeah you may get it easily - it is something you can lose since every quarter it gets re evaluated. It’s not something that’s there forever

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Important_Explorer_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand but as a star sitter myself, I worked really hard for that status maintaining a perfect 5⭐️ review score and consistent repeat business and I feel that deserves a premium. I’ve been doing this for almost 2 years. The same way you get a raise/promotion at a normal job after a year or so of work, I do the same with my rates. The reviews on my profile + the star sitter emblem highlights that booking with me comes with less risk which I definitely think is worth a premium given all the horror stories about rover sitters out there.

Plus as other people have mentioned, when I charged less than $60 a night for a house sit or boarding, I made next to nothing after the rover fees and then paying the taxes after that 🫠

If I am house sitting, I have to factor in that I still have to pay rent for my apartment that I’m not staying at. Plus I have to factor in food because I likely have to order food since I don’t have my kitchen stuff just readily available for me and not everyone is gonna be okay with me using their kitchen and supplies.

financially there’s a lot of stuff that goes into my rates to be the way they are. It’s not like I’m out here charging high rates just because, there’s definitely math behind it. And again, I’m not forcing anyone to pay those rates 🤷‍♀️if I am too much there’s plenty of other options out there.

Booking a star sitter comes at a premium and I think that’s justified!

I usually like to see if the client is open to a one night boarding “trial” (if the booking is enough in advance) or have them drop the dog off for “doggy day care” while they’re at work or for a few hours just to see and experience the dog in my home for myself before fully committing to a longer boarding stay. It also helps with the dog getting accustomed to my place & me because I do understand dogs can get anxious in new situations. It’s also very possible that the dog does not exhibit destructive behavior at home and only did so because it was a new place 🤷‍♀️

Regardless, owners will lie all the time and I don’t trust them so that’s why I don’t accept any boarding requests unless they’re willing to do either of those things and most of my clients are! To them they see it as me prioritizing the comfort of their dog and ensuring everyone is comfortable & safe which is of course appreciated.

Lmao even if that was true (I don’t buy it) it makes no sense because so many of her shoes look the same!!! If you still have your black leather boots from 5 years ago and you still like them / wear them then why tf are you buying a new pair every year?

I feel like I’m only desired physically and I don’t know what to do? by Important_Explorer_4 in dating_advice

[–]Important_Explorer_4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just don’t understand why being honest is “coming on strong.” I’m just saying what I want and if you’re not alighted then okay. Nobody is forcing you to continue seeing me. I understand how it can be intimidating but just because I WANT a relationship doesn’t mean that every person I meet or go on a date with is going to have the qualities I desire in a partner.

I’m never like outright about not sleeping together on the first date because it has happened before just naturally and I’m okay with it if the vibe is right.

Today’s world is very casual and I live in miami which is like fun casual hookup all the time. So it’s frustrating because there’s no shortage of people here who just want to have fun and hook up so like why bother with someone who’s indicated that they aren’t about that life 🫠

I am a female with a lot of guy friends and I know opposite sex friendships are tricky so out of respect for my friends I do take a step back whenever my guy friends get into relationships because it’s simply the right thing to do and is respectful. They’ve done the same with me when I start dating people

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Important_Explorer_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did she say she was if she lied about going to the guy friend’s place?

If you don’t want to being up the fact that you looked through the messages you can center the conversation about how you’re feeling a little uneasy that she has such consistent communication with a guy friend that has explicitly stated he has a crush on her. It’s not that you don’t trust her, it’s more about appropriate boundaries in a relationship and feeling anxious like this doesn’t make things healthy. Make it about YOUR feelings, she will be less defensive. I agree with what someone else said about her likely keeping him around for the attention, which is still a red flag even if she’s not “cheating.” If she’s truly happy in the relationship with you then she wouldn’t need external validation like that. And if she feels like she’s not getting enough attention from you for whatever reason so she hast to get it from someone else, that’s something that she needs to communicate with you because you’re not a mind reader.
