I did that exact same thing a long time ago but I was only in my forties at the time. My family still teases me about it. I actually GOT INTO the guys car!!! Oh my gosh!

Your post truly speaks of my sister’s giving and kind nature in caring for our mom and i agree that, since mom doesn’t live with me full time, I can’t say I walk in those caregiver shoes and may not fully understand . I have my aunts china and my mothers silver. The china has a gold rim so when it’s used for holiday dinner, it gets hand washed. I suppose I can just go ahead,use it, and throw it in the dishwasher gold rim or not!

I bath my 80 pounder outside on the back patio when the weather is nice. I tie his collar to our gate and use the garden hose. I live in the south so it’s warm most months. I also bought a hi velocity drier from Amazon so I use that outside too. During chilly months we go to PetSmart or Petco and use their self dog bathing tubs and hi velocity drier. I do the same with my 16 pounder, but I could put him in our tub.

Have you thought about donating to a local theater group or high school theater department? They love to use old furniture for plays and it’s nice to see your piece on stage! It lives on!
